I got a college degree and worked for 20 years. An autoimmune condition took me off work. I had way more money, time, leisure and much less stress with all the many benefits. The system is broken. A safety net shouldn't be a lifestyle.

@Owennfa This is also something people don't understand. Old roofs aren't covered. If you want peace of mind, get a 50-year metal roof. That's the best you're going to get. If a wind storm blows apart a 19 year shingle roof and you get water damage, you're most likely eating that cost.
