Hello from Appleby_cat and Meagan_photographer. Holy hell but I take a lot of pictures of this cat. I'm posting some on Instagram, and CCing them here.
This is my friend Crom (Frenchie mix) and his brother Woody (Chihuahua mix). Crom broke his leg and his mom's not able to get financing or credit, so we're having a fundraiser! Please RT.
The exact same source used to justify eugenics in the community note says 80% of people with cerebral palsy live until 58 and most studies show living between 30 and 80.
We have the same disability and even with difficulty eating, he’d live a much longer life if he wasn’t
Not at all- I'm adamantly pro-sex work and did not end up working the line.
One of my aunts paid for one year of the equivalent of community college for me, my other for a meal card. The expectation was I would find a... gentleman while away at school to see me through the remainder of my studies, or at least see me situated. I probably would have if I could have managed it- things got pretty lean. I broke my glasses four months in and could not replace them, so could barely see the whiteboard even in the front of the class. I'm not better than anyone for not having done it, just not something I could manage or I'd have a different life.
I got a lead about coders making good money from a foreigner, and that my English was good enough I could probably teach myself how. Frankly, I didn't know better than to try- if I had known what the hell Ruby on Rails was, I probably would have thought it was over my head. I had no knowledge of any kind of tech anything. I went through all the free tutorials at the time on @treehouse. That got me to a point where I could get a few $5 remote gigs, and within six months I could do basic junior developer work.
I had some steady clients that liked me because I worked at night their time, so any simple task they called "the shoemaker's elves" and I guess the money, while a lot to me was nothing to them for incremental work done in the off hours.
I freelanced online under a male pseudonym to avoid hassles, made pretty good money also. But I had some ID issues that were hard to reconcile and the requirements on Upwork and similar sites became very strict. Due to my gender presentation and not having a technical major, working at a local company would have been pretty bad, and I already had a few hardware projects under my belt. So I started shooting YouTube videos to earn a living that way. I've been trying to do manufacturing instead.
As I said- I got lucky, I didn't work harder than my friends or sacrifice more, I'm not better for not having done sex work. I just got some timely advice, and since English had been my hobby from a young age and something I had a knack for, I was able to take advantage of it.
💔😭stolen 1.5 months after we got it. it's the only way i've been able to truck my kids around these past few weeks (while super pregnant). I'm so sad...

This story is being used to spread misinformation and deny the horror of residential schools. As the author, I wanted to express my disappointment at this and offer some notes.🧵1/7
@MyKatAccount@RJDeal@daniellemuma@baddestmamajama I... yes?
I think that you and I may have had different life experiences, because that would explain alot of the confusion I feel and that I feel you're expressing.
But like... yes. Attendees in pants! Bridesmaids wearing slacks! It's "fashion forward": https://t.co/Y9tXyhDTg0
@MyKatAccount@RJDeal@daniellemuma@baddestmamajama ??? That's not true, though? At least not among Millenials and Gen Z who aren't dogmaticly religious or "socially conservative." It may not be what you picture in your head, but it happens in the real world all the time.
@daniellemuma@RJDeal@baddestmamajama Yes, but the OP writting about wearing dress pants is not evidence of that w/out other context. Dress pants—pants in general—are worn by people of all genders; not making a gender assumption based on pants is more logical than making one.
~And the rest, as they say, is comphet~
