I’m chasing two things right now:
my trade exam
and sub 25 in the 5K
Both are teaching me the same lesson:
progress isn’t built on perfect days.
It’s built on tired, sore, stressful days, that suck.
Sub 25 won’t happen on race day.
It happens in the hundreds of runs before it.
Some days the run isn’t the hard part.
Life is.
Stiff back. Wind. Work. Heavy mind.
Still went out for 3k.
Not every day is a strong day.
But showing up on a weak day still counts.

My girlfriend’s visa expires tomorrow, so we urgently need clarification or rebooking on an alternative route if this flight is cancelled.
Please advise ASAP. Thank you.

Why I still run even now
Running is quite simple.
You just run. Nothing else.
But days like this remind me why it isn’t.
There’s barely any daylight.
Welcome to Norway.
Science says less than 6 hours of sleep is bad for you.
Garmin says I’m not ready.
I went running anyway.
Running doesn’t make me happy.
It makes me tired, dizzy and better.
Where do you draw the line between discipline and rest?
