I just saw a quote that said, “You worry too much for someone who figures it out every time” and I feel like I’m not the only one who needs to hear that.
LOVE ON YOUR KIDS. Be sweet to them. Say nice things. Sing to them. Do things they enjoy. Watch their favorite shows. Take them on trips. Speak life into them. Tell them how intelligent they are. How beautiful and handsome they are. How super they are. They need to hear it. They have bad days too. They want to feel special too. Make them feel wanted and cared for. Because some grown adults are still healing from what they didn’t get as kids.
Ngl, adult friendships require grace. People are very busy. People are healing. People are growing. People are taking time for self care just like you. Less communication isn't less love. Check in not out.
I think the best thing I've learned as an adult is to IGNORE ppl. When you realize people do weird & evil things to get a reaction out of you, you learn that silence is more powerful than proving a point.
I stay away from people who avoid self reflection & accountability. If you can't keep it real with yourself, ain't no way you can keep it real with me.
