SAY NO TO JUNGLE JUSTICE!!!

A woman was falsely accused of being a child thief in Maraban Jos, Kaduna State, after a rumor spread that she had attempted to kidnap a child. Without verifying the allegation or allowing the authorities to investigate, an angry crowd made up largely of street youths, attacked her.

According to reports, she sought refuge at a nearby police station, but the mob allegedly forced its way in, dragged her outside, and set her ablaze.

She d!ed from the horrific attack before any proper investigation could establish the truth.

A mob that killss on mere suspicion is not delivering justice…. it is committing murder. Jungle justice is lawlessness disguised as justice, and innocent lives are often the price.

The moment people choose violence over evidence and revenge over justice, innocent lives are put at risk. A society that tolerates mob action weakens the rule of law and creates fear for everyone. That woman deserved justice.

The government needs to intervene immediately and bring those responsible for the mob attack to justice!
