Applemore in Africa- Team Zanzibar update. Today we have ventured into the jungle to spot the fauna and flora of the island. Rumours say there was a sighting of a large group of cheeky monkeys...our group didn't see them but we did see the native monkeys! 🐒 #AmbitiousForAll

Applemore in Africa - Team Zanzibar update. Great day at school today; teaching (Maths, English and obviously @mrsaundersgeog taught some Geography), sports (football, skipping and frisbee) and building work continued. Amazing effort from our awesome students. #AmbitiousForAll

Applemore in Africa - Team Zanzibar update. Today we went exploring the India Ocean and an island off the coast. Firstly a paddle in a lagoon, snorkelling and swimming in the sea (and finding Dory!) followed by a bbq beachside dinner (lobster, prawns, chicken!) #AmbitiousForAll

Applemore in Africa - Team Zanzibar update. Today has already been awesome...walking tour of stone town, saw Freddie Mercury's childhood home, a church where the phrase 'Hakuna Matata' orginates and exploring the spice farm and tropical plants of the local area #AmbitiousForAll

Applemore in Africa - Team Zanzibar update. We have been busy breaking up the broken and patchy concrete to then make new and improve the paths; amazing hardwork from the students. A late afternoon/evening by the pool and then getting food at a local market. #AmbitiousForAll
