Phase 2 of The Playground Project: evaluating existing playground equipment. Our local parks and school playground have no inclusive play equipment. Students have started pondering alternatives. Next step: consulting experts. #edtech#edtechchat
Love the features of Numbers that help make the curriculum accessible to all learners. Year 3 students using pop-up menus, steppers, drawing tools and keyboard dictation to record data about coin toss experiments in Maths. #AppleEDUchat
In preparation for BYO iPads in 2024, our Year 3 students have done a deep dive into the Numbers app. This week’s focus: a 3-digit number partitioning workflow using placeholders and conditional highlighting for instant feedback.
This week I introduced our Year 3 students to #Keynote and further developed their iMovie skills. They had a blast transforming their writing into a persuasive movie incorporating Instant Alpha, animation, audio and Green Screen. #fortheloveoflearning#AppleEDUchat@AppleEDU
Using #Keynote on #Mac in Year 5 to represent the message of a familiar text through animation. The students were super excited to learn of the possibilities with their devices. Podcasts and GIFs in literacy still to come. @AppleEDU #AppleEduChat#ForTheLoveofLearning
I supervised a small group of Year 1 students on my rostered day on during lockdown. The students didn’t know each other well, so we adapted @PaulHamilton8’s Keynote scavenger hunt template from the Apple Learning Institute. They had a blast! #AppleEduChat@AppleEdu@linda0204
I am very lucky to work in a job where I get to “play” with computers and robots in my classroom every day. Even though it is largely to do with the technology and not me, it still warms my heart to hear comments like “This is my favourite place”, as one boy voiced today. ❤️
