3 Signs A Leader Is Process-Driven:
1) They don’t grade their decisions on outcomes.
2) They don’t have double-standards.
3) They don’t positively reinforce good outcomes on poor process.
Note: All their energy flows from a place of what’s the next right thing? If you view leaders from that lens, the elite separate themselves.
When you're in the lab, working on your "bag" this offseason, remember...
- 50% of your shots come with no dribble (catch and shoot)
- 20% of your shots come with 1 or 2 dribbles.
And don't forget, the more dribbles you take, the lower your shooting percentage gets.
No Dribbles - 1.19 Points Per Shot
1 Dribble - 1.07 Points Per Shot
2 Dribbles - 0.99 Points Per Shot
3+ Dribbles - 0.98 Points Per Shot
With a side note, lay ups are by far the most efficient shots in basketball, so use that dribble to get to the rim if you need to!
This data was taken from an 24-25 NBA season. It barely changes season to season.

Coaches: The @WNBA gives us great opportunities to add special situations to our playbook. Becky Hammon & the @LVAces never disappoint. Last night was a “clinic.” (And, I added a “wrinkle” to the 2nd play: “Design your play with missed shot in mind.”)
This is elite coaching
“We are trying to play fast when it’s 5 on 5, we can’t do that. We have to manipulate the spacing first”
Really good stuff

3 of the 4 coaches going to the Final Four were High School or Prep School Coaches in 2010
That plus the success Bucky McMillan had this season at Samford
Maybe more D1 College AD’s should look to hire coaches from successful High School Programs

Bill Walton says of hoops wizard Pete Maravich, “If he played today, he would have his own television network.” Comparing eras in sports is always tough, but we look at the talent/impact of the LSU great and @IowaWBB’s @CaitlinClark22. https://t.co/OBJtMHnVJ1
