Over six years ago, we launched the Original Prusa i3 MK3, a product that changed the 3D printing world and allowed our company to grow, bringing you many cool things like PrusaSlicer, Prusament, the Original Prusa MINI, XL, https://t.co/AybZNRWVma, and the MK3's successor, the MK4. We released the MK4 a year ago, but the demand for the MK3S+ remained so strong that we kept manufacturing it for another year and released more firmware updates. 🛠️

Tomorrow we will stop selling the assembly kit, and assembled printers will only be available while stocks last. We revisit its legacy in our latest article. 🧡 We will, of course, continue to offer support, spare parts, and MK3.5 upgrades, ensuring that the MK3 will be with us for many years to come. The end of an era is close… or is it?

One of the greatest features of the Five-Head Original Prusa XL is its ability to print not only in five colors but also with up to five different types of materials. 💡🛠 We recently put this capability to good use while printing the Prusa Tire-Wheel model by the printables designer LisakDoubekDesign. 🧡

The wheel model is exactly 1:2 the size of the original tire, with functional tire tread. 🚗 The materials we used are Black and White Flex TPU, Prusament PETG Urban Grey, Prusament PETG Prusa Orange for the rim, and Prusament PLA Pineapple Yellow as a support material. 💪

🔎 For those curious about the printing specifics, it took 3 days, 8 hours, and 37 minutes to complete the print, involving 993 tool changes and using 1833 grams of material, but only 56 grams of priming tower! 🌟
