Water safety is a vital life skill, which is why it is a mandatory part of the curriculum for PE at primary school. At Apsol, we believe that swimming is a life-saving skill and want all children to have the chance to learn to swim in KS1. #PE#swimming
Our little ones are learning about people who help us. Thank you to one of our parents for coming to school today and talking to the children about her profession as a radriographer #parentalengagement#peoplewhohelpus#eyfs
Reception children were intrigued by mysterious happenings in and decided to investigate further. They discovered by looking at cctv footage, that the yellow tram “elétrico amarelo” had been playing tricks on them during Portuguese lessons! Can you spot him? #eyfs#aweandwonder
Year 1 launched their summer Safari topic by talking about the different types of animals they might find if they were trekking across the African savanna. They located Africa on a world map and went on an animal hunt. Its amazing what can be found around the school!
Active children have the opportunity to enhance bone health and muscular development. Physical activity also helps to develop self-esteem, resilience, confidence and problem solving. Thank you @gymfinitykids for a superb gym session for the whole school!
At Apsol, we consider the impact each part of the school has on learning. We believe in immersive environments where children can explore, dream and discover. Our corridors have become teaching spaces, rich in knowledge, facts and wallart that generate curiosity and enthusiasm.
As part of their ‘At the farm’ topic, year 1 children have been learning about different types of farms and how food gets to their plate. Today the children visited Vauxhall City Farm. #learninginaction#atthefarm#relevantcurriculum
Today at apsol, Reception planted some seeds as part of their topic on growth, supported by our lovely Reception grandparents! #handsonlearning#grandparents#eyfs#growing
