I was deeply moved by my meeting with coastal communities in Samoa forced to move their homes inland.

Sea levels are rising at a rate not seen in at least 3,000 years.

If we don’t reverse these climate change trends, we will see this tragedy in other coastal areas globally.

Thanks to partnership between @undp_samoa @govuk and Samoa Tokelau Association of Recyclers, 12 schools collected 6,630kg of plastic waste in their communities. Pleased to reward students and teachers for being conscious citizens and contributing to transition to #circulareconomy

A 🔑 meeting today with the Land Transport Authority & Ministry of Transport, as part of the #CAPIT project, funded by @JapanGov, to provide carbon emissions testing equipment & upgrade the Road Transport Administration System. This will help ⤵️ carbon emissions in Samoa.
