The quality systems in aseptic services detail roles & responsibilities including chief pharmacist

I support the enabling legislation that will see services improve through the professionalism of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists
#StrongerTogether
Legislation is the enabler, regulation and professional standards are the framework to support practice. Let’s not look back in 20years and think how we didn’t take the opportunity to utilise the value of a regulated profession in pharmacy 👏for our patients and services 👍
Pharmacy Technicians have valuable skills and experience to support the safe, efficient and quality supply of medicines within Aseptic Units

#AsepticServices#APTUK
#PharmacyTechnicians working in #TechnicalServices, we are aware there have been inflammatory, emotive and derogatory statements issued leaving Pharmacy Technicians feeling devalued.
As your #ProfessionalLeadershipBody we want to assure you we are there to support you.
⬇️
Such a disappointing response when #pharmacytechnicians with the right training and experience are more than capable of carrying g out this time and in some places are all but doing so already
Very poor @PharmDeclares and @FMLM_UK#NonInclusive
Why are Pharmacy Technicians "being investigated"?
Since 2011 it has been a legal requirement to be registered like pharmacists with @TheGPhC
@APTUK1 have many members in senior leadership positions in the NHS
#ShameOnYou
@PJOnline_News@the_pda Worked for 43 years as a Pharmacy Technician then pharmacist, in S10 & MHRA units, on wards & as Superintendent & Chief Pharmacist
I support supervision in aseptic facilities because I have witnessed how well the safe quality systems work including clinical checks by pharmacists
@President_APTUK Very sad to see such misinformed comments from @the_pda With #PharmacyTechnicians able to be Head of Quality departments, why can't they lead #asepticservices?
Many have decades of knowledge, skills advanced study and experience to draw on.
#pharmacytechnicians are more than capable of running an aseptic unit and managing QMS …. working alongside authorised pharmacists (as would still be required). Yet another disappointing but not surprising example of #professionalprotectionism
