@DrJankenstein@acam1215@NornQueenKya I'll see if there's any large difference in July when this year's big tournament rolls around, but:
In 2023 Tacoma Open, there were 227 40k tables for the GT.
There were 25 for AoS. People don't just collect 40k
@DrJankenstein@acam1215@NornQueenKya AoS is fine in terms of design and the models are great, just doesn't draw me in outside of collecting a kit here and there. But it's always going to play second fiddle to 40k unless GW pulls the plug on it
@DrJankenstein@acam1215@NornQueenKya I've yet to see any official event give any evidence AoS is "gaining ground" the financial breakdowns from the last two years don't really show it either.
Shit, last year HH outsold AoS and that's a specialty game, not a flagship product like 40k and AoS
@MayaWantsCandy@UnassumingHat@real_loorr3000@Nobleshield@Majorkill1 You know what the fucked thing is? We don't know how they actually planned to roll it all out. This is from a leak. And since it got leaked, any plan for any sort of larger lore beside screenshots of codex short stories and a tweet addressing it are fuckin gonezo now
@HaseoVtuber@MissSilverWitch@BitsHammer Correct. Because you're already lying. Ain't no way you've "read everything" motherfucker, there's 30+ years of game material and literally hundreds of novels involved in that statement.
I have no patience, nor do I need to respect, a grifter who isn't part of this hobby
@HaseoVtuber@MissSilverWitch@BitsHammer You admitted yourself you're not part of the hobby and have just been reading from the outside.
I've been here since 2010. You learned what this was yesterday. Fuck outta here with your dogshit opinions
@HaseoVtuber@MissSilverWitch@BitsHammer It's a very simple transaction. I don't get involved in your hobby shit that I'm not interested in, and your putrid ass stays out of 40k
@UnassumingHat@Nobleshield@MayaWantsCandy@Majorkill1 Or those sisters of silence that didn't wear golden auramite plate during the great crusade, as that's a much more modern to 40k adaptation of their armor?
@Nobleshield@MayaWantsCandy@Majorkill1@UnassumingHat The lore literally is "the Rogal Dorn has always been in use by the Astra Militarum" and a breakdown of what the tank does.
If that's sufficient, then so is a codex entry of two short stories for custodes
@Nobleshield@MayaWantsCandy@Majorkill1@UnassumingHat And please, I beg you to send that Screencap of the 9e codex saying "infant sons of Terra", cuz I've got the Sanguinius novel excerpt and the paragraph right below that one on tap.
@Nobleshield@MayaWantsCandy@Majorkill1@UnassumingHat Or are you just angry about an army you likely don't even play because of a boogieman you've made up in your head, despite custodes lore being ambiguous about their creation ever since their ORIGINAL retcon circa 5e when GW changed them from Emperor gene seed to what we have now
@Nobleshield@MayaWantsCandy@Majorkill1@UnassumingHat And the Tau lore "why they existed" in the beginning was LITERALLY "lol the imperium forgot about them but they've always been in that exact sector of the galaxy"
@Nobleshield@MayaWantsCandy@Majorkill1@UnassumingHat Yeah the rogal dorn has lore, I guess? A warcom article introducing it, roughly what it does and telling us it was always there.
Same for paragon warsuits and centurion.
I was there, you apparently weren't
@DollClockheart @BitsHammer@best_lindon@heavenly_otter Dataslate: Officio Assassinorum pgs. 28-33. Don't know if you can still find it on the BL website
@BitsHammer@best_lindon@heavenly_otter The Vindicare are definitely transhuman. Well above average senses, and an innate ability to slow down their bodily functions to wait as long as they need to in one single position for a target.
Vindicare Dejedris Garamach waited for 6 years in a single spot to kill Skyknife
