Volume Confirmation

Volume Confirmation – The Hidden Filter
A breakout without volume is often a trap.

My rules:
Breakout candle should be 2–3× larger than average base candles
Or 1.5–2× actual volume if using volume data
Volume should stay elevated in the following weeks
Low volume breakouts have a much higher failure rate.

Staged Entry (25/25/50)

How I Enter Positions – The 25/25/50 Rule

Ideally, I try to I never go all-in on the first breakout.

My ideal staged entry process:
25% on the monthly breakout candle close
+25% after 1 month if price holds above breakout and 8-month SMA
+50% after 2 months for full confirmation

This approach reduces risk and gives me time to confirm the move is real.
Patience is the edge.

LLY | Monthly Chart

This is a textbook Base-on-Base (Stacked High-Base Fresh) setup — one of the strongest patterns in our strategy.

The stock formed two clean High-Base Fresh structures (2024–2025 and 2025–2026), with each new base forming higher than the previous one. This shows continued institutional demand at progressively higher prices.

My Action:
I already took 50% position on the breakout candle from the second base. I did this because:
The stacked High-Base structure is very clean
Price is holding well above the 8-month SMA
Volume confirmed the breakout

I’m now watching for either:
A pullback to the 8-month SMA to add the remaining 50%, or
Continued strength to complete the position.

This is exactly the type of high-conviction setup the strategy is built for.
