I told yall last summer Black Americans are the least prepared for the societal shift in America. I told no lies. It will get much worse before it gets better, cause blacks are still going in the wrong direction and thinking backwards, while society is casually and constantly changing.
@Monica55dzrh Hell to the naw!! Get a home equity line of credit for the amount his brother need, make him make the payments. Leverage your land, don’t sell it.
@iaaiert I turned my studio apt into a full body gym. With TV on wall, computer desk and a barber chair. Comfort is overrated. My apt is progressive, gotta get a dog tho
If the fucking virus is nothing to panic over, then why in the fuck is it on the news? Exactly, it’s propaganda as usual. Watch for the bait and switch.
Consciousness, knowledge and wisdom can’t charge dead brain cells, just as a battery charger can’t charge a car battery with dead cells. No matter how long you charge it.
Think critically about what you watch and listen to. It’s actually showing and telling you how to think and live. Watch and listen to learn what’s happening to the world, but don’t drink it. Use it to help you understand the world better, not to become part of the mess. They make it so amusing, we want to be sick. It’s like sugar.
Desire to feel good less, and endure pain more- you’ll grow. No pain no gain. Pain challenges you, feeling good is comfort. Comfort is crippling. Be comfortable with staying uncomfortable. Don’t associate pain with danger, compare it to effort. Because for many people - it hurts to go harder. This is the problem with comfort. We each have less than a 100 yrs to live, we really have no choice.
Always ask questions, and follow the logic. Take care of the Why, What and How first. This is where your principles and foundation is laid. Then, handle the When, Where and Who- these can be tricky. But, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and don’t move in fear. Take charge, and keep moving, and keep learning.
Do you really want to know how long it takes to truly be a Master Barber? If you blend with guards, you not there yet. Doesn’t mean you’re not a good barber, just not a Master yet. The master term is used too loosely, because Boards qualify you on paper, but actually takes years in the profession to become a Master. Masters of any craft are continuous learners. You can never cut as fast with guards and you can without guards, no matter how hard you try, or how fast you move. You can’t learn how to manipulate the blade with a guard on. Just like you can’t do the same tricks on a trick-bike, if it has training wheels. Metal blends are deeper and darker than plastic blends, giving more contrast. Guards thin the cut. This really too much game to be sharing for free. I won’t show you for free tho. #MasterBarber #Andis 💈
If I’ve been using the same tools for nearly forty years and mastered the tool and the craft- why change tools just because a brand new company launched? They aren’t going to make better what I’ve already mastered, nor are they any more efficient. When you’ve been in the game as long as I have, you can tell who the sheep are. #BarberLife #Andis 💈
An educator, who was also a scholar, said you don’t really start knowing anything til you get around 53 yrs old. I’m paraphrasing, but he was right. He said this to another scholar who was half his age in a debate. It’s not til the juice is almost gone that you really realize what you had. That’s when you can really put your life in context. It’s much much harder to win past your fifties unless you already winning or on your way. Don’t fuck your youth away, you’ll regret it later.
