The Indian National Congress welcomes the announcement of elections in Jammu & Kashmir.

The Supreme Court had set a deadline for the conduct of the elections, and we had demanded that elections must be held at the earliest to secure Constitutional rights and put a full stop to this mechanism of being 'ruled by bureaucracy'.

Modi Govt wants to control the revived state administration of Jammu & Kashmir, therefore, in July, they gave more powers to the LG by amending the Rules under Section 55 of the J&K Reorganisation Act, 2019.

Now, bureaucrats have also been suddenly shuffled, hours before the announcement of the polls.

In the past decade, Modi Govt has performed many electoral experiments in Jammu & Kashmir, but the people have time and again, rejected BJP's undemocratic tactics trampling upon their Constitutional rights.

The recent spike in terrorist incidents, particularly in Jammu region, where 18 Army/security personnel have sacrificed their lives in 27 terror attacks since June 9 is highly disconcerting. Kashmiri pandits and migrant workers have also suffered targeted attack over the years.

Ladakh, which had 4 Assembly seats in the original Jammu and Kashmir legislature, will now be without any directly elected MLA.

People of Jammu & Kashmir are yearning for change. They are looking towards the Congress and its allies to usher in justice.

Congress workers must reach out to the people and work hard to ensure our victory in the state.

पिछले 10 वर्षों में, हरियाणा में डबल इंजन वाली भाजपा सरकार ने लोगों को धोखे के सिवाय कुछ नहीं दिया है।

हमारे किसान और नौजवान - दोनों पीड़ित हैं। प्रदेश में बेरोज़गारी रिकॉर्ड ऊंचाई पर है। अनेक भर्ती घोटाले हुए हैं। क़ानून व्यवस्था ठप्प है। भाजपा ने राज्य के सामाजिक ताने-बाने को विभाजित करना का षड्यंत्र रचा है।

क���ंग्रेस ही एकमात्र ऐसी पार्टी है जो हरियाणा को एक विश्वसनीय विकल्प दे सकती है। कांग्रेस छत्तीस बिरादरी को साथ लेकर चलने वाली पार्टी है। हमने पहले भी विकास किया है और दोबारा हरियाणा को विकास की पटरी पर लाने के लिए हम संकल्पित हैं।

कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं को जनता तक पहुँचना चाहिए और हमारी जीत सुनिश्चित करने में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़नी चाहिए।

कोलकाता, बिहार, उत्तराखंड और यूपी में महिलाओं के साथ हुई क्रूरताओं ने पूरे देश को झकझोर कर रख दिया है। इस समय देश भर की महिलाएं दुख और गुस्से में हैं।

जब भी ऐसी घटनाएं होती हैं तो देश की महिलाएं देखती हैं कि सरकारें क्या कर रही हैं? उनकी बातों और उपायों में कितनी गंभीरता है? जहां भी महिलाओं की सुरक्षा को लेकर सख्त संदेश देने की जरूरत हुई, वहां आरोपियों को बचाने की कोशिशें की गईं। महिलाओं पर जघन्य अत्याचार के मामलों में बार-बार नरमी बरतना, आरोपी को राजनीतिक संरक्षण देना और सजायाफ्ता कैदियों को जमानत/पैरोल देने जैसी हरकतें महिलाओं को हतोत्साहित करती हैं।

इससे देश की महिलाओं में क्या संदेश जाता है? जब सरकारी आंकड़ों में हर द��न 86 रेप हो रहे हों, महिलाएं सुरक्षा की आशा किससे करें?
