Alright... Who spiked my coffee again? I swear I woke up as an adult this morning, but now I've shrunk back down to a preschooler!
What?
You think I did this on purpose? How dare you! Just because I said I didn't want to work today...
There is a big difference between being a "big kid" and acting like one when it comes to your undergarment of choice. Maybe if you try harder you'll end up in training pants rather than diapers.
There is no outrunning a curse, no matter how hard you might try. Except now you're half way across the country and no one will believe you aren't a toddler. Maybe you should just relax and let it happen? Or... not...
After all, what happened to the gems from that cursed heist?
There are things worse than being young again, you have to admit. However, trying to explain that you're already Potty Trained is really sapping your energy. Maybe it really is easier to go along with it, even if that does mean wearing diapers.
Try all you want, but your crib will contain you, no matter how much you attempt escape. It's simply a fact that infants aren't able to get out of such an enclosure.
Of course you try to escape. But you just can't seem to reach the top of the cage you're in. And the garment between your legs makes it so hard to pull yourself up.
And that's when you realize... You're in a crib... And it's a diaper between your legs...
"People keep stopping me from doing stuff! They're all, like, 'You're too little' or 'Where's your mommy?' And I keep telling them, read the shirt! I'm not wearing an 'Actually I am an Adult' shirt for nothing! Sheesh... And they think I'M the toddler when they can't even read!"
Just a reminder that today is probably not the best day to declare that you are "totally an adult now and not a baby at all" to your work team during an online meeting. First, they already know you were regressed. And, second, you really should have turned your camera off first.
There was a time when you'd have been surprised, maybe even upset, at being regressed down to a toddler, but not anymore. In the last year, you've been a toddler nearly as much as you've been an adult. They don't even comment anymore when you log into work zoom calls in a onesie.
Some people think it's a blessing to be regressed. Some think it's a curse. But the truth is somewhere in the middle. The stories presented here may be true, but the names have been changed to protect the innocent... unlike their diapers.
"They do say that bringing up strong memories can really take you back, but I'm not sure they meant quite like this. I still don't know why you wanted to go through your stuff from preschool, but at least you had a couple of outfits in there that fit you again now."
"It's really not that bad, is it? You don't have to go to work! And you get plenty of time to relax. Really, you're pretty lucky to get a second chance at growing up. So what if you're back in diapers? You'll definitely get through potty training much faster this time!"
"Your baby is perfectly healthy, ma'am, did you have any specific concerns today? What? No... Nothing unusual. Mmmm-hmmm, I agree, he definitely seems to have more focus and coordination than other infants his age. What? Your husband? Ha! No such thing as physical regression!"
"Well, yes, you did say that you /wanted/ to be regressed down no younger than 5 years old. But I decided that what you NEEDED was to be regressed down under 2 years old. Anyway, it's much easier for me to care for you when you're small enough for me to pick up."
"You remember the rules you agreed to when I took you in after your regression? Well, since you've had a few accidents recently, I think we need to talk about some added protection. Don't fuss! I was thinking training pants, but if you want to skip directly back to diapers..."
"Um... Is this REALLY a scientific experiment? I mean... Look... Couldn't you test diaper capacity /without/ having someone use them? Couldn't you just, ya know, pour liquid into them at a various rates? Um... Um... OK... I'll shush now... I don't wanna test the newborn ones!"
"You're just pretending to get fussy and we both know it! Look, I'm fine with 'babysitting' you while you're a toddler, but don't insult my intelligence by trying to make it seem like you aren't enjoying every moment of it."
