This agreement marks an important step in expanding ARABSAT’s diverse media portfolio and strengthening BADR-8’s position as a leading satellite platform for television broadcasting and content distribution across the region.
Through ARABSAT’s reliable satellite infrastructure and extensive coverage, Al Ghad TV HD will be broadcast 24/7 via BADR-8 at the 26° East orbital position, supporting the channel in delivering its content to audiences across the satellite’s coverage footprint.

Under the agreement, Arabsat will support the distribution of KTV across selected OTT and IPTV platforms, extending the channel’s digital reach and providing audiences with greater access across multiple viewing platforms.

The agreement also leverages Arabsat’s disaster recovery capabilities operated through Hellas Sat, providing a resilient business continuity solution designed to maintain broadcasting operations and service availability during emergencies or disruptions.

This milestone reflects Arabsat’s continued commitment to advancing digital media distribution, strengthening broadcast resilience, and delivering reliable, future-ready solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers and partners.

يسرّ عرب سات الإعلان عن توقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع هيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون السعودية (SBA) خلال معرض IBC 2026 في أمستردام، في خطوة جديدة نحو تعزيز التعاون بين الجانبين.
وقد تم توقيع مذكرة التفاهم من قبل الدكتور بدر ناصر السويدان، الرئيس التنفيذي للمؤسسة العربية للاتصالات الفضائية (عرب سات)، والمهندس حاتم محمد أبو ناصف، مساعد الرئيس للشؤون الهندسية، إلى جانب ممثلي هيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون السعودية.
وتركز مذكرة التفاهم على خدمات استمرارية الأعمال، بما يسهم في تعزيز مرونة واستمرارية خدمات البث، ودعم موثوقية العمليات الإعلامية في مختلف الظروف.

Arabsat is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) during IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, marking a new step in strengthening cooperation between the two organizations.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Badr N. Alsuwaidan, President & CEO of Arabsat, and Eng. Hatem M. Abu Nasef, Assistant President for Engineering Affairs, alongside representatives from the Saudi Broadcasting Authority.
The agreement focuses on Business Continuity Services, enhancing the resilience and continuity of broadcasting services while supporting reliable media operations under various circumstances.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening broadcasting capabilities and advancing a more resilient and future-ready media ecosystem.
