Broscience started as a joke term, but it's the future!
It doesn't require us to "Trust the Science", because that misses the point of scientific inquiry!
Instead, it demands of us curiosity, and experimentation.
Through Broscience we become the scientific experts in what works for us, in our lives, rather than taking the word of others.
Sure, we can still take lab results, or suggestions for others, but Broscience puts real world results in our lives above credentials.
As kids we're so curious about the world, but at some point we come to believe that this is not suitable for adults. That we're too cool for curiosity.
Try this for one week: for everything that comes your way, make a decision or act within 3 seconds. Don't delay.
This might sound scary, but for just one week out of your whole life, try moving fast.
You just might be surprised at the results.
For overthinkers we tend to delay acting because we feel we need to cover every angle, and do things at the right time.
Our brains are naturally wired for fast decision making though, and by procrastinating, we are fighting our natural abilities and doing ourselves a disservice
@Mangan150 I was watching Seinfeld recently and realised that George, who was the butt of a lot of chubby jokes, looks far better than a lot of men these days. 😕
Me thinking about how we have 6000 thoughts a day.
In these thoughts we are more likely to dwell on the negative, imagine bad outcomes, however unlikely.
Our minds can be like Teflon to positive thoughts and Velcro to negativity if we don't take control.
Let me feel a notebook in my hands as my ideas take shape on paper.
See the faces I'm talking to and hear the sounds of their voices with no lag.
Bring back the analogue life.
Bring back the analogue life.
Everything is on a screen now.
Books, entertainment, learning.
We were not made for this.
Give me the smell of my favourite book.
