Statement of the General Sl Command of our forces regarding the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on Kobani.

Syria has entered a new phase with the collapse of the Baath regime, and this collapse has created many vacuums in the region. The authority and regime of Damascus have changed, and it is not clear how the future of Syria will be drawn. The Turkish occupation state, which has been launching attacks on our regions in northern and eastern Syria for years, has exploited this vacuum and directed its mercenaries to the city of Manbij. There is no doubt that the Turkish occupation state, through its air forces, although not directly, but its ground forces secretly participated in the attack. By occupying it, it turned its face towards the Tishrin Dam and the Qara Qozak Bridge, or rather, it tried to head to Kobani. Here, very violent battles and clashes erupted. The Turkish occupation launched its attacks on our fighters, with all its military technology. However, after five days, and as a result of the great resistance of our fighters, all of these attacks were repelled.
There is no doubt that the Turkish occupation has not stopped, and is now planning to launch an attack on the city of Kobani. Its plan is to occupy all Syrian lands and annex them to its lands. Therefore, now it is in a state of alert and preparation, and has prepared a large number of its forces and mercenaries throughout the region, and provided them with heavy weapons. It also launches attacks and issues threats on a daily basis.

The whole world realizes that we, the Syrian Democratic Forces and all its councils, are a legitimate force, and we have fought fierce battles against the terrorist organization ISIS, and our struggle against it continues until now. The whole world congratulated us on our great victory against ISIS. But unfortunately, in the place where we defeated the terrorist organization ISIS, today it is as if the Turkish state is taking revenge for ISIS, it is attacking these areas. Everyone knows that ISIS was defeated first in Kobani. It faced its first defeat there. Kobani, for the sake of the freedom of the Kurdish people and all the peoples of the region, and even to protect the whole world from the fears of the spread of ISIS, it also defended humanity.

Those who used to say: "Kobani has fallen, or it is about to fall", are now directing their mercenaries to Kobani. We in the Syrian Democratic Forces, our decision is that we will stand against these attacks until the end. Just as Kobani was the beginning of the elimination of ISIS, it will be the beginning of the defeat of Erdogan and his mercenaries. The freedom fighters and our people in Kobani will teach Erdogan and his mercenaries a historical lesson.

First, the Kurdish and Arab youth and all our people must see these dangers, and in order to escalate the holy resistance, they must take their place in the ranks of the SDF. The time has come when young people must flock in ranks to join the SDF. If we want our families and people to live in safety and honor on their land, we must urgently join the ranks of the SDF. With this resistance stance, we will be able to ensure that we live in freedom and security.

To the extent that our people protect themselves in every city, neighborhood and street, they will be a support for their forces that defend them. Therefore, our people must work and move with the spirit of general mobilization, and organize their lives according to the reality of this fierce war.

We, as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), call on all the peoples of the Middle East, the world, revolutionary allies and friends, democratic figures and freedom seekers, to take their place alongside the people of Kobani and the SDF, and together revive the spirit of November 1. This spirit will once again protect the world from the dangers of ISIS and its allies, and they must also play their role in building a democratic and free Syria.
