DRIVING FOR CHANGE at the Christmas on Wheels Charity Run 🚛🎄
Congratulations to the Aran Island Ferries Crew and Truck Run committee, for organising a hugely successful 'Christmas on Wheels Charity Run,' which raised over €20,000 for Tigh Nan Dooley, an amazing school that helps children in the community.
More than 125 vehicles including trucks, buses and tractors gathered in our Rossaveel Ferry Car Park on Sunday and lit up the night as they made their way to Carraroe, Lettermore and Tiernee.
We're so proud of you ❤️ Well done to everyone involved!!👏👏

Ireland’s only blackberry festival, Féile na bPuiteachaí, returns to Inis Meáin on 19–20 September 2025 with a vibrant mix of food, culture, and community spirit. Now in its fourth year, the festival celebrates the land, language, and traditions of the Aran Islands, with blackberry-themed and seasonal highlights including a baking competition, a craft market, a Park Run and even a contest for the island’s biggest potato!! Coinciding with Culture Night, the programme also features local schoolchildren performing a specially commissioned seasonal poem by Fearghas Mac Lochlainn, plus art workshops, a folklore walk, and a blackberry cocktail-making class.
