Fine Gael is taking real action on housing.
That’s why Minister John Cummins is introducing plans to allow for modular-style homes in back gardens to be exempt from planning permission.
A public consultation will begin soon where you can have your say on exempted developments
Over the past two years, racism has become increasingly visible in Ireland, something many are now noticing both at home and abroad. Ireland has long stood as a powerful example of warmth and welcome, but that reputation is now at risk. Right-wing extremism, often imported from UK & US actors and echoed locally, is radicalising young people and fuelling division. We urgently need stronger integration supports, asylum reform, managed immigration and inclusive education in schools to counter disinformation. A balanced, forward-looking approach can preserve the social cohesion Ireland is known for. 🇮🇪
What a day 💪we moved one of our beds, which took an army, we appreciate all our volunteers who come week after week and do trojan work, Randa brought us a pasta salad & Maria made a lentil dahl and we finished with a banana cake from Luna, we could open our own restaurant 😀
It’s really disappointing that the Government intends to ram through changes to the Dáil without the consent of the opposition.
For me this boils down to a fundamental issue of who is in Government and who is in opposition.
Rent & having means to pay it is a workers issue There's no justification for substandard pay in a cost of living crisis It's essential that the Seanad & Dáil push to increase wages so we can retain skilled workers & make it financially viable for more to pursue apprenticeships
@connect_un4337 has revealed 46% of respondents are getting paid under €7 an hour and over 90% claiming to be paid under the minimum wage at a stage during their craft apprenticeship. 1/2
