The Arctic... There it is! Project 2025 stated that the US had territorial ambitions in the Canadian Arctic. The strategy is the same as with Greenland:" You can't defend it all by yourself, so give it to us !"...
Canada, Trump's USA is relentless in its desire to extort sovereignty concessions from Canada that would render us prime for the taking, prime for annexing.
How devious they are!

Hoekstra’s Assholian Nation arrogance is just outstanding.
It’s impossible to listen to this 3 year old reality show child trying to be a diplomat. He’s lying and changing the subject to avoid answering questions.
Diplomacy is not diversion. A clue: an ally and partner doesn’t;
✔️threaten our sovereignty
✔️denigrate our social safety net
✔️attack our culture - multiculturalism
✔️promote fringe separatists, nor
✔️encourage provinces to secede to US.
And certainly doesn’t leave the negotiating table over an ad quoting Ronald Reagan.
Why are you even here?
You can make fun of Trudeau all you want, and he certainly made some mistakes worthy of condemnation, but his election in 2015 saved Canada when the USA turned right with Trump's first election in 2016. He set us on the path and left us with a leader who can handle the storm.
@BradRedekopp Replacing aging aircraft with new ones is the smart, safe, common sense thing to do.
Are you suggesting that our pilots should continue to risk their lifes in outdated aircraft?
@schtev69 Nobody said we would replace the US.
Diversifying our economy means we no longer need to be dependent on the mood of a President.
What Eby and the rest of Canada has been doing is what any smart leader would do.
Pete Hoekstra really sat on Question Period and said:
“We didn’t start any conflict. We put tariffs on everyone and Canada responded poorly.” Oh
come on.
Tariffs on Canada. Trump insulting our sovereignty. The “51st state” nonsense.
Credit to Vassy Kapelos for pushing back and asking the obvious question:
“You don’t think Trump’s comments had an impact with Canadians?”
Pete Hoekstra is a GASLIGHTER.
He's right. Trump expected a complacent Canada & Mexico, as well as Europe, to just roll over & play dead. They didn't, instead they built up strategic & economic alliances amongst themselves, around him, while arming up. Alberta, notwithstanding, Canada will weather the storm 🇨🇦
And I'm getting sick of purity tests. Here's the thing. Pierre is deeply unpopular. Lots of Conservatives want to win elections.
What they're doing isn't remotely moving the needle. You aren't the arbiter of Conservatism in Canada.
The problem isn't just Pierre....the problem is that this isn't a Conservative Party anymore, it's a populist party who's addicted to internet rage clicks and data scraping to make money....and they've convinced themselves that it's good enough.....1/2
Tomorrow’s match between Canada and South Africa will be the first time both countries are competing in a knockout match at the World Cup.
Today, I spoke with President Cyril Ramaphosa about the upcoming game, and how we can build on Canada and South Africa’s strong relationship:

One can legitimately disagree with Carney’s policies, but this full-blown conspiracy stuff is completely unhinged. Pierre Poilievre will never be PM and this is why.
You mean the US is inevitably gonna fail. Its tariffs and non tariff barriers to trade cannot forever protect its moribund, non competitive auto industry.
EV’s are the present, and the future of transportation. Fossil fuel vehicles are dinosaurs soon to be fossils too. Cannot compete. Same for EU car companies.
China has better cars at significantly less cost. American hubris and bullying has kept competition at bay. And it’s (and Canada’s) billions has bailed them out numerous times.
It’s hurting consumers and taxpayers.
What happened to open competition?
If these heatwaves teach us anything, it’s that we need to make our cities greener. Plant more trees. Build more parks. Protect the forests we already have. We need more green spaces.
Jamil Jivani, sitting Member of Parliament, just turned a stat about international student arrivals into this: it’s time to send people back to “India, China, or wherever else they came from.”
Not “people who broke the terms of their visa.” Not “people without legal status.” India, China, or wherever else they came from. He didn’t reach for that language by accident.
This is the same Jivani whose father came to Canada from Kenya. Whose entire public career has been built on talking about identity and belonging in this country. He knows exactly what it sounds like to tell people to go back to where they came from. He said it anyway.
You can call for stricter enforcement on visa overstays without naming countries like it’s a punchline. He chose not to!
