💡 What does it take to select a new generation of Douglas fir trees that will be adapted to the British climate and have good timber properties?
🥾 We went to @ForestryEngland’s Mortimer Forest where experimental trials were first set up over 30 years ago to find out.
🤝 Central to the success of the @DefraGovUK funded project, led by the Conifer Breeding Cooperative, has been collaboration with Forestart and @OxfordBiology.
