We were very honoured yesterday to be visited by Niall Williams who signed copies of his latest novel ‘Time of the Child’. Niall is a stupendous writer of immense quality, who goes about his work so quietly, I think we forget just how bloody good he is!
One of my life’s great gifts, at the moment, is that 5 days a week I’m 2 minutes walk from @chaptersbooks and I get to hone in on their bargains like a rake of classics for €4.99!!
And the odd time, I then get to scuttle up the stairs to @ArboretumGC for a lovely bit of grub to accompany my book.
Lucky, I am.

Seriously?
A woman who claimed to have suffered “disabling” injuries in a car accident that left her unable to work for over five years had her €760,383 claim dismissed after she admitted winning a Christmas tree-throwing competition. https://t.co/B9drJL363o
