@Talhaa10_ These same types of conversations occur before every World Cup because journalists are lazy:
2010 - Crime, accommodations, high prices
2014 - Crime, heat
2018 - Russian government, censorship, crime
2022 - Censorship, slavery, heat, accommodations
Shut up and watch the matches.
@themancalledroy@DaaRogueOne@DougieCritchley He’s simply saying that they have no right to bitch over the conditions not being on par with a soccer-specific stadium when they are the ones who opted to play in an NFL stadium with a temporary pitch.
@_mrahenkorah@TouchlineX@TheAthletic It was gang violence among the usual suspects over something undoubtedly retarded. The victims almost certainly won’t cooperate with the authorities and so nothing will come of the incident.
@RandomG68118424@Altered0x@NOT_MOTD The corner flag not being rooted in the ground for a friendly has zero effect whatsoever on the match being played. You’re being hysterical.
@Omar_SZNN@TouchlineX 1. Everywhere on the planet has weather stoppages for lightning because it is deadly; the 2024 Euros had them.
2. The stadia in Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston are all indoor facilities—you are falling for clickbait propaganda.
@chippy7476@flameosumeet I’m ideologically unaligned. While I find these people extremely annoying and performative, it doesn’t stifle my interest in the sport—I simply roll my eyes and ignore them. I wouldn’t be caught dead in one of these supporters’ sections, though.
@ZioFacciatosta@abosalaharena There were also weather stoppages at the Euros just two years ago. These people are simply mental midgets with the memories of a goldfish or a stoner.
@ViceLitty@Slatzism “We’ll get a little place, and we’ll have a couple quad runners, an’ maybe an above ground pool, an’ a couple pit bulls—an’ you get to tend the pit bulls. Look down there behind the dumpster, like you can almost see the place.”
@GeraldRoe6@iluminatibot This is as retarded as the claims that Russia was behind the Nord Stream 2 event. There is no reason for them to attack as they are already winning—an attack would only risk galvanizing the American people when we are clearly fucked currently with regard to the Strait of Hormuz.
@ShawnDulin@EdwinGames4 I watch them casually all the time—I actually prefer their pace and style to the endurance exhibition that is the Prem these days. Real Betis has been fun to watch in particular the last year or two, as has Deportivo down in LL2. Marseille, Monaco, and Lens are also good viewing.
