Arcam kickstarted the modern Hi-Fi revolution and now are a world-leader in digital and analogue audio/video. SUPPORT queries to [email protected] please
@kmelling I can only really suggest sending it in for service via your local Arcam dealer. If the optical door is broken you'd need a new optical port or possibly a new digital output board.
@fabienpenso Hi Fabien, sorry to hear you've had issues. I see in your support case we suggested contacting ESCOOR for a quote to see if it differed from your retailer. Was it different?
I also can't see any troubleshooting to eliminate external causes of DC. Have you isolated the amp?
@mbrylewski Hi Marek. Sorry to hear this happened. I would recommend contacting your dealer to arrange a replacement. Was there any protective film on the front of the player when you unboxed it?
@Unclehubb Hi Jeff. It sounds like the sale may have ended. We do not sell directly to customers or set the retail prices, so the price change would be down to the discretion of the relevant dealer.
We are pleased to confirm that our email system is once again fully operational. If you tried to send any emails during yesterday's outage and did not receive a case confirmation, please re-send.
We are currently experiencing issues with our email system.
Our telephone lines are unaffected, however, due to increased demand, there may be delays before your calls are answered.
Your dealer should be able to assist you with any basic setup or troubleshooting issues.
@rvio48 For our products that come with a Dirac license, to use Dirac, simply install the program on your computer and Dirac sees and works with the amplifier once opened. We cannot speak for other manufacturers, but no email is needed for Arcam products.
@Be_respectful__ Best thing to do would be to email details to [email protected] with any serial numbers/case numbers/details of who you spoke to so we can investigate.
Would be very surprised if we had any boards for the MS250 though.
@Be_respectful__ Hi there. I don't see any recent quotation cases about the P7, but £565 does sound about right. The P7 generally requires a fair bit of labour to rebuild the channels as the amp modules are obsolete so cannot just have replacements dropped in.
I should also add: send a brand new email with no chain. If it contains text from an existing case it may contain a case watermark that can sort the email into an existing case that may be owned by a different team and not visible in the normal queues.
@AndrewTarter That would be fine. The AVR doesn't mind either way if there is one, both or no speakers connected to the pre-outs. Are your speakers passive (use a power amp) or active (connect directly to the pre-out)?
@AndrewTarter I don't think we have the power cable as a dedicated spare part as it's a pretty standard IEC C17. If in doubt, the support team at [email protected] can advise. Most important thing is making sure the voltage switch is correctly set so it runs at full capacity.
@Mandolinn It shouldn't make any difference really. When the headphone socket is used, the switched speaker output relay is closed, which is the same as disconnecting speakers. If in doubt, switch on at 0 volume while phones are connected. Play music and slowly increase volume to check.
@redeader https://t.co/k1vMnGoKgP has a support form, or contact [email protected].
We no longer make that stylus. They were manufactured in partnership with goldring, who do seem to offer a repair service. The cartridge specs are as follows if looking for a goldring equivalent.
@breesyaudio When you say "it didn't work" do you mean that the software update failed, or something else? The best thing to do would be to contact technical support for advice, as they can check all of the aspects of your unit and advise accordingly.
