Pickup Winding Class #15 is this weekend at the Roberto Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix Arizona.  Well over 200 students have attended this long runnig class.  I will go over every step of pickup manufacturing with the students including hand winding.

This is a vintage 1957 Gibson p-90 that came in for repair from Norik Renson.  There is no reading on the coil and the bobbin is cracked and bowed.  I will try to reconnect the leads and peel back some of the wire to see if I can save the coil, but I suspect the coil is broken.

The 59 Experience Tele bridge pickup.  Alnico 5, staggered magnets, 8.31k and wound by hand.  This one has white string but we also build them with black string.  A slightly beefed up tele bridge pickup that has just enough push to hear the sweet spot and avoid excessive highs.

This is a 52 Tele Bass pickup rewind I did for @joebonamassa The coil gave no reading and the fiberboard was about to come loose from the magnets which shifted the coil and caused the failure.  Replicas available at https://t.co/SVIbbzC5D4

A 1952 tele bridge pickup rewind for Joe Bonamassa @joebonamassa This pickup was rewound to the Max spec which Joe prefers.  9.5k rewind by hand after the base plate, string and wire is removed, the bobbins will be straightened.  The Max spec reads at a DC resistance of 9.5k.

The subtle cool of a 3x3 offset uncovered Triple clone Humbucker in distressed Zebra.  These are up on reverb now.  I envision these in the bridge position of a HSS Strat or a set of two in a Hum Hum guitar.  We are accepting orders for our other humbucker models by request.
