@7_jenkinson @MissPolly62 People reject change they don’t understand, so such referenda rarely pass. It’s not like we elected them. Our democracy doesn’t rely on honouring their position, like the US presidency , for Eg. Politeness protects the undeserving in politics. Sometimes rudeness is valid.

I think the thing I like most about #immigration is the way it raises the tone of the community.
I hate to say it, but there is a definite “criminal element” amongst the locals here in this former penal colony.😄🙄 …my own family amongst them.

In reality, successful people are not better people...it's more a mix of the fortunate and corrupt.

Seeing a specialist about recent improvements in treatments for #lupus and it occurred to me that perhaps some of the symptoms I have accepted as permanent, MIGHT be relieved.
