@LASHYBILLS@PicturesFoIder It’s been a Miami thing since at least the early 90's, especially Miami Beach. Allegedly started because of the prevalence of international tourists who did not tip.
@StephenKing During the 1988 Writers’ strike, Letterman did more bad-on-purpose bits, stating “this is what you get without our writers.” That brought more attention to the strike than the news did. Also Real Time is 60% news-talk, and newsrooms are not striking.
@Lapp Most legacy cable viewers remember when Max was short for Cinemax. #HBOMax hasn’t been around long enough to shake the tarnish of HBO’s lower-rent cousin.
@elonmusk Please. A margin is not a “secret tax.” The fact that retailers mark up the wholesale price of a product is the way business works. It’s not some dark conspiracy.
@CNETCars@VW should bring the short wheelbase version to the USA. It could be marketed as the higher-range version or as a crossover alternative (especially for the surfer/beach crowd). 3rd row and extra length is a waste of weight and energy for those who just want it because it’s cool.
@ryantomorrow I mean, duh! I hope this is a tease for something that’s already in the pipeline. Otherwise VW’s ID Buzz will beat Ford to the intersection of surfers/beach families and EV pioneers.
@Commanders All the time, research, surveys, outreach, and attorney hand-wringing and the result is a well-seasoned turd. A freshman marketing student knows a team brand should be one or two syllables unless it conveys an instant special image. There is no instant image of a “Commander.”
@SecretaryPete Please amend Section 108 sooner than the 2 years allowed in the #InfrastructureBill. The rest of the world has allowed adaptive headlight safety technology for years. It’s overdue for US driver safety and US manufacturer innovation. https://t.co/Kh05OMHRYv
@DougDeMuro I sometimes wonder if Cadillac made this car ugly on purpose so they can say, “We tried, but nobody wants sedans. Now we'll only build SUV's.”
