Implying that 3 had terrible combat, or it was bad by any margin. All Iโm saying is that KH2 was able to do things that none of the other games were able to replicate. Things that, in my opinion make it a better experience than 3 for me overall.
Why do you people keep trying to argue in bad faith with the same tired response? ๐ ๐๐๐๐ there are options. Never in my statement did I ever imply that you didnโt have options.
It is disingenuous to say that being in the air always works to your advantage in KH3.

Around you to do damage to the enemy without relying on a guard break button to do it, and it also did more damage.
Mind you, all of this is in your ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐. You also had Aerial Dodge which gives you I-Frames as well as a fairly fast glide.
Look, Iโm not

THIS PART BRO.
People are under the impression that I hate KH3 or think itโs Dogshit because I prefer KH2 combat more.
We can be critical of games and still like them.
Im allowed to criticize games i paid for and beat, if you're not gonna be respectful you're just gonna get blocked. I beat challenge runs and critical runs of every other kh game this specific fight feels poorly designed. If you launch personal insults ur getting ignored.
Hey everyone forgot to mention this, but this Gameplay is from Yachi Nanase over on YouTube. I suggest giving their channel a watch as their KH2 videos are absolutely spectacular.

The people in the comments acting like KH2 wasnโt grounded are crazy.
Yes you can do air combos. However, you arenโt literally stuck in the air like a lunatic and left open for certain enemy attacks.
You do your combo. And almost immediately drop. You arenโt in pseudo flight.
Didnโt mean for it to come off like that. I was just showing Gameplay to make a point about the combat.
I love Yachi Nanaseโs videos and always rewatch them.
โCertain enemy attacksโ.
Also, notice how they have to use a combination of multiple different Keyblades transformations and combinations to even get to this level of untouchability. Case in point, the barrier.
Not only does Sora have that already as a regular spell in KH2

Itโs my phrasing. And thatโs been a constant struggle to mitigate.
Me posting the video was more to show off the fact that the combat in 2 felt far more responsive and more in your control than 3 did. You also werenโt in the air longer than you needed to be.

You donโt need to rely on Gimmicks like Formchanges to execute the options you did have.
I do not hate KH3 combat. And there are things that it did right that I love. However, I always go back to KH2 because it just feels better overall IMO. Also, the risk reward factor

Anyone who prefers it. Iโm just saying that in my opinion, having played every single game every single year, since buying all of the games as a kid, 2 just feels infinitely better. And had better payoffs combat wise.

Open to attacks from behind on both ground and air. That can be and has proven to be incredibly detrimental. Hell, itโs annoying to deal with now on my second critical mode play through in KH3.
I donโt hate KH3 combat. I actually quite like it. And Iโm not knocking

The revisionism over the KH2 combat is staggering to me.
Wdym Sora is super limited in defense in the air????
Sora has less of an advantage with midair blocking in KH3 because he can have his defense broken entirely and staggered.
What the actual hell?
You can do the exact same thing in KH2, with arguable more variety. Reflect spells can be chained up to 3 times, which in turn would do substantial damage to your enemies, provides they were in the range of you.
Aerial Dodge gave you I-frames. And glide was an option.
