@Grishakof Thank you!! I woke up to 156 this morning and I'm feeling elated!

[ArchiusDev - Wishlist Mancalero on Steam! @ArchiusDev]

@clumsybeargames Absolutely it's tough, but the good thing is that there is still visibility! Steam is constantly trying to improve how indies are shown on the platform including with sales now. While launch week is still crucial, I wouldn't write everything off to it either...

On this #DemoMonday I’m celebrating over 150 wishlists for Mancalero! 🎉

Thank you for all of your support- feeling good as we lead up to #NextFest and my launch on November 4th!

Go ahead and enjoy the v1.02 Demo with a controller!!

@magic_inn What would have been a success for you? Higher wishlists? Higher conversion? Better player experience or all three?

[ArchiusDev - Wishlist Mancalero on Steam! @ArchiusDev]

Dang that’s successful but still hard to hear. While the majority of AI development and progression usually is referenced in terms of replacing “roles” or assets, as a indie dev I’d rather pay for assets and commissions especially if it meant AI could replace the role of publisher.

I’m curious if the current agentic focus (Muse, Grok Bots, etc.) could handle marketing, polish, showcase applications, and porting? Saving devs a 25-40% cut

Two Steam games made $560,000 from 135,000 sales, but one of their creators only made around $15,000 a year.

The games sold well, but a large part of the money went towards other costs.

-$134,000 was lost to refunds.
-$127,000 went to Steam’s 30% cut.
-$115,000 went to the publisher.
-Taxes took another bite out of the earnings.

After all these deductions, the remaining money was split between the two creators.
One of them ended up taking home around $73,000 over five years, or roughly $15,000 a year.

Here’s to the second last #screenshotsaturday before October’s NextFest!

I’m very happy with all that I’ve learned in developing Mancalero and improving it day by day- some exciting announcements are still on the docket!

@GamewithDave Before it was an absolute minimum of 2-3 hours a day regardless of what went on. Now it’s a lot less as I’m closer to release, and instead pivot to marketing and bug fixes.

@Purgehold Thank you- let’s hope all those who find it interesting enjoy their experience 😁

@Purgehold @Satior420 Greatly appreciated!

Next Fest devs, I dug through X's open source algorithm.

Biggest boost you can control: replies from mutuals. 4x a normal reply, 40x a like.

So let's actually talk to each other. Who else is in Next Fest?

(2nd try, my last post wasn't pushed out)

INDIE DEVS! LET'S GET YOUR GAMES SEEN!

I've started The Hidden Collection, a Steam Curator dedicated to sharing indie games I've actually played!

If I've played your game or demo, DROP IT BELOW! I want to get more of into the collection!

And if I haven't? Show me what you've got!

@poteto @bot @Shopify Each day, I'm paying more and more attention to X/Grok updates, and less to my ChatGPT plan as my secondary after Claude. I haven't been won over yet, but you are very convincing!
