Much of his post-Church of God writing has been lost, but work by professor emeritus Walter Froese has recovered a copy of this 1922 publication, which is now available through our digital archives here (https://t.co/rQDU4YDcMM).
W. G. Schell was a regular collaborator with D. S. Warner, but later disaffiliated himself from the Church of God, joining the then-nascent Pentecostal movement.
Good luck to @AUTrackField today! We wanted to thank them for their amazing donation of pictures and documents that they gave to the archives last semester! It's thanks to donations like theirs which allows us to provide our services to the community!
The Gospel Trumpet Family prayed for a place to build their home and printing press for the Gospel Trumpet newsletter. Their prayers were answered when Anderson, IN had a beautiful plot of land with great resources. That land is now known as the Valley on campus. #worldprayerday
Today is #worldofprayerdayβwe have so much to be thankful for, and today is a great day to praise the Lord for what He has given us, as well as come together and pray for our world. This morning, we are offering our prayers to the Ukraine as the crisis continues. π πΊπ¦
For #WomenWednesday, we have some history on Amy Lopez! Amy Lopez, born in Jamaica, was a CHOG missionary and taught at @AndersonU THREE different times: 1927-35, 1937-42, and 1948-50. She taught English and was the Dean of Women.
Amy Lopez passed away from a car accident in Jamaica where she lived, taught, and lead a high school after leaving AU. She wrote many manuscripts and articles for the @ChoGMinistries and the Gospel Trumpet. She was an amazing role model, and quite the busy bee!
Today is #OldStuffDay, and here at the AU and the Archives, we have a lot of "Old Stuff." Probably the most beloved old thing on campus is @DunnHallAU! Have you ever wondered what Dunn Hall looked like when it was new? Well, now you know! Check out this new Dunn Hall dorm room!
Happy #AshWednesday! We are so thankful for this time of year to prepare our hearts for the Easter season! @spirituallifeau will be holding an Ash Wednesday service at noon in Miller Chapel. Afterwards, come on by to visit the archives, located just below the SOT!
Did you know that Eleanor Roosevelt visited @AndersonU?? One of the most well known women in history! You can read the @andersonian article and see a cool picture here! What a post to kick off #WomensHistoryMonth
The Church of God had an early emphasis on divine healing, which has led to a complex set of views on modern medicine and particularly on vaccination. Check out this exhibit from our public history intern, Megan Morrison. https://t.co/AhTrzrK7qD
