Leaders developing leaders!
Nine Raider Student Council delegates spent five unforgettable days at the Louisiana Association of Student Councils (LASC) Summer Leadership Workshop at Northwestern State University, growing as leaders and bringing home new ideas to strengthen our school community.
Even more impressive, seven Archbishop Rummel alumni returned to LASC this year as Junior Counselors, helping guide and inspire the next generation. Their presence is a testament to the leadership legacy that continues long after graduation.
Check out a few photos from this year’s Workshop! 📸

The Church and our Raider family rejoice!
Fr. Brett Barrios ‘07 and Fr. Will Sigl ‘84 were ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ for the Archdiocese of New Orleans this morning!
Fr. Brett will be assigned as parochial vicar at St. Angela Merici, and Fr. Will will be assigned as parochial vicar at St. Philip Neri. We pray for fidelity to Christ in their priesthood and for an increase of vocations.

Our Raiders are headed to Belize this morning alongside students and chaperones from Archbishop Chapelle for our annual joint mission trip! Together, they will spread the Gospel while serving local communities through hands-on projects, leading a school retreat, and visiting the sick.
Through this mission, our young men continue to live out the Lasallian virtues of faith, community, and service — encountering and sharing Christ’s love beyond our borders and into the world.
Thank you to all who make this mission possible and to everyone supporting them through your prayers.

"From the very beginning, a mother teaches her son what love, patience, and strength really mean. She’s the first to cheer on your victories and the first to believe in your dreams even when you don't believe in yourself."
- Jack Hurd, Class of 2026
We are wishing all of our Raider Moms a very happy Mother’s Day today!

The study of ceramics is making a comeback on Severn Avenue!
Our Art Club students have been working with clay and creating unique ceramics pieces. While Rummel once offered a ceramics course years ago, the Art Club is helping revive the art form and bringing it back to campus.
We can’t wait to see these projects take shape!
