@antirez Fast forward to today, and I'm pursuing my passion in Systems through an MS course. I also interviewed at Redis last year, but that didn't work out.
@antirez Happy New Year, antirez! I've always admired your work and writings (technical for now). Many years ago I asked a simple question on reddit - how does Redis work internally? You ended up writing this section - https://t.co/kCgXOmn4D8 in response to an anonymous comment.
@BrentBeshore Wow that’s kind of you to take the time. I’m at a point in my life where career where I’ve started getting these kind of messages. I’ll follow you and try to send a note to at least a few folks.
@shadesofoffside I think this one died because I put out RatX pellets. But it didn't have any place to go because place is shut in winter. In the past peanut butter on conventional trap has worked. Also, they hate peppermint oil.
@shadesofoffside Oh no. I just fished out a dead one last week. But it didn't come in through any hole. My idiot cat brought him in and dropped it by my foot. She just plays with it. This is her when it escaped behind the oven.
@shadesofoffside The "Manchurian" cuisine is "indo chinese". I crave it from time to time. I don't encounter in the US often. Try the "manchow soup" and "lollipop chicken" if they have it on their menu.
@riemann_ben@kerckhove_ts I loved the way he framed "parallelism is about doing things at once and concurrency is about dealing with them." Won't ever forget!
@shadesofoffside Silvio's role was out of character. I also heard that Paulie was supposed to do all that but Sirico wasn't available for this episode - also why he was absent.
@shadesofoffside One way to look at it was the "worst" episode was miles better than anything else on TV. But I genuinely liked the episode. Maybe it was criticized because it didn't have anything to do with rest of the series and breaks the continuity.
