The racist remarks of Senator Celeste Amarilla against @KMbappe are incompatible with the values of democracy, equality and human dignity that parliaments are meant to uphold.

If the Paraguayan Senate fails to hold Senator Amarilla accountable, the IPU should publicly condemn these remarks, demand appropriate disciplinary action, and ensure that racism has no place on any parliamentary platform.
