Women make accurate social risk assessments all the time and are much much better at it than men are. This is a classic case of male solipsism where they canβt see risk or literally anything else from a point of view other than their own.
does anyone else have a fic (from any fandom) that has stuck with them for literal years and even all this time later when iβm no longer in that fandom i still regularly think about how beautiful it was and hope that the author is still writing in some capacity
This.
Grieving is coming to terms with what your life will be like after a loss.
If you havenβt figured out all the areas in your life that are influenced by the loss, then the grief is bound to come back for another round.
@bee_my_girl As a Christian, I feel the need to say a lot of us donβt understand that evangelism requires that the recipient sees value in what you are sharing.
Like, if God is homophobic, why would people want a relationship with him? Etc. Seems like it applies here.
AO3 is not social media, it's a library. Fanfic is not content, it's a hobby. Fic writers are not published authors who should stay out of fan spaces. They ARE fans. Fic readers are not clients or customers, they're fellow fans. The sooner people realise all that, the better.
@sofiaicarbone I think not knowing the age babies start solids is normal. I also think people are very bad at estimating baby ages.
They just need to lead with βis she eating solids yet?β if theyβre not sure.
But the first month or so is still quite young to assume theyβre weaning.
Every week someone calls for censorship of certain works on AO3. Are they not aware that this site was built for the sole purpose of opposing censorship?
What happened to "don't like, don't read"? "Ship and let ship"?
That's what tags are for, so u can avoid what u don't like.
Autism: I need to understand why the rule exists.
ADHD: I need the rule to make immediate sense or Iβm ignoring it.
AuDHD: Explain the rule, make it logical, keep it brief, and donβt be surprised when Iβve already found the loophole.
@_sorrengailll I hate lotion on wet/damp skin, but baby oil on wet skin is fairly easy to do. Locks in the moisture before it evaporates or is towelled off. Just gotta make sure you apply enough pressure to push through any surface water.
Itβs cheap and safe enough for babies.
