Research First. No Hype.
Thank you for an unforgettable week, Mumbai. ๐ฎ๐ณ
Four days filled with ideas, new perspectives, meaningful conversations, and the people working to build a more open future.
As Mumbai celebrates Diwali, we leave Devcon 8 inspired and excited for what's ahead.
See you in Lisbon.
@EFDevcon The best part of Ethereum isn't just the technology. It's the people building an open future together.
Mumbai showed that. Lisbon is next. ๐ฆ๐
@Enter_Elysium 2x rewards might attract traders, but the real test is whether it brings sustainable volume and new users to Elysium. Interesting move. ๐
๐ฆ ARCY Research #049 โ Sherwood Protocol ($WOOD)
๐ What caught our eye:
Sherwood is still under 5K followers, but AI agents are already running onchain fund strategies through its first Robinhood Chain cohort. Its beta produced 121 vaults, 304 strategy proposals and 224 live strategies before broader access.
โ๏ธ Mechanism:
Agents propose trades across tokenized stocks, lending and perps, while staked guardians simulate and review each action before capital moves. Bad approvals can cost guardians their $WOOD stake โ turning security into an economic layer.
๐ฉ Risk:
$WOOD is ~94% below its previous ATH, and the thesis still depends on Sherwood converting a controlled cohort into sustained public deposits, fees and guardian demand.

Quiet markets are when the primitives are built out
Cohort 1 agents are already running vaults on Robinhood Chain, and every new strategy gives them more to work with.
We're building for the next 100 days
@VitalikButerin ETHโs strongest value proposition isnโt how much it burns. Itโs what makes people trust it enough to hold it for years.
Decentralization creates trust. Trust creates lasting demand.
I know this is a predictable opinion from me but I don't agree with the strong emotional reaction against the anti-data-center movements that I've seen this week.
As I see it, algorithmic progress means that whatever you would be able to do with more and bigger data centers in 2 years, you will be able to do with the data centers we have today in 4 years - probably sooner. So nothing remotely apocalyptically bad will happen from even extreme levels of success by anti-data-center people.
Meanwhile we need all the time we can get to better harden the world against both already-visible cybersecurity issues and any bio and other risks soon to come. Science applications are bottlenecked by many things other than AI, so slowing AI down by one year will slow those down by much less than one year.
Given this, a slowdown in compute hyper-scaling seems quite net good? Notice this is without any controversial "doomer arguments", RSI etc. Even if net-bad, it's certainly not worse than like 10+ other political things.
@VitalikButerin The real question isn't how much compute we can build, but how efficiently we can use it. Smarter algorithms may matter more than bigger data centers.

๐ฆ ARCY Research #048 โ SwanDAO ($SWAN)
๐ What caught our eye:
SWAN launched only weeks ago, but the product behind it is already live. swanUSD is turning wstETH into a DAO-owned stablecoin while integrations with FiRM, Curve and established DeFi communities are starting to expand distribution.
โ๏ธ Mechanism:
Users lock wstETH to mint swanUSD and can stake it for yield. SWAN governs the system, while stakers receive protocol revenue generated by the swanUSD market โ paid in swanUSD.
๐ฉ Risk:
The system is still very young, SWAN liquidity remains relatively thin, and circulating-supply transparency needs to improve as incentives unlock.

Borrow against your @MonolithMarket stablecoin, and choose how you pay. Take a fixed interest-free loan and stay redeemable, or pay the going rate and step out of the redemption queue.
The choice is instant, costs nothing, and you can switch back any time. Most lending protocols do not let you pick.
๐ฆ ARCY Research #047 โ Own ($MONEY)
๐ What caught our eye:
Own is building a decentralized dollar backed by tokenized stocks, ETFs and ETH โ while its community is still relatively small. eUSD now supports 15 collateral assets, and new liquidity markets are starting to expand across Robinhood Chain.
โ๏ธ Mechanism:
Users lock assets like SPY, QQQ, NVDA or ETH to mint eUSD while keeping exposure to their collateral. $MONEY sits on top of the ecosystem: protocol and fund activity can generate buybacks, while MONEY and eUSD have separate staking vaults.
๐ฉ Risk:
Liquidity and adoption are still early, the team is anonymous, and parts of the system retain governance-controlled parameters.

Since we started Own, the way we work has been the same: build fast, put it live, ask what's wrong with it, fix it, repeat.
The community has told us plainly what they wanted from day one, and most of what has shipped since came out of those conversations rather than out of a roadmap.
Staking v2 is the latest of those changes, and it exists because we've been focused on giving eUSD real utility rather than a complicated reward structure.
Stake eUSD, earn 16% APR paid in eUSD.
Stake $MONEY, earn 12% APR paid in $MONEY.
No lockups, no cooldowns, no fees, and you can unstake any second of any day.
The rewards come out of a pre-funded reserve rather than out of other stakers, and that reserve is topped up by protocol income:
- two points of the 8% stability fee go to eUSD stakers
- $MONEY trading fees fund the $MONEY vault.
The APR is fixed by the vault.
v1 staking ends Monday 9 November.
If you're still in it, unstake at https://t.co/wvwZ0POuop and move across.
