We are @X_nect, a startup inspired by your “Pay to Reach” initiative and the first to launch a practical application based on this innovative concept. Today, with mixed emotions, we pen this letter hoping for an answer from you: in the face of drastically skewed competition, should we persist?

Eighteen days ago, amidst the frenzy of the Meme wave, your article on Binance Square, "Pay to Reach," illuminated a path for building the BNB Chain ecosystem. We took your message as a call for fair competition and collective enrichment of the ecosystem. Motivated by this vision, we embarked on an intense, focused development journey.

Within a single week, we completed the first version of our product:

🔸March 14: We finalised the product audit and submitted for Chrome extension approval. Simultaneously, we reached out to the BNB Chain business development team for support.
🔸March 18: Our product was ready for launch, and we engaged the BNB Chain team regarding a launch plan. We learned that several teams were competing in the same arena. Despite the mounting pressure, we remained confident because it appeared everyone started from an equal footing.
🔸March 19: We initiated pre-launch promotional activities and drafted a marketing strategy.
🔸March 20: Xnect 1.0 officially launched, marking the first “Pay to Reach” protocol on BNB Chain.
🔸March 21: Our product began gaining traction among KOLs and communities, with its reach expanding progressively. Although we had only a few thousand followers, this initial recognition for a nascent project was truly exhilarating. Meanwhile, we attempted to contact you via multiple channels, seeking your acknowledgment.
🔸March 24: BNB Chain reposted our content for the first time, a significant encouragement to our team.
🔸March 26: BNB Chain shared our tutorial video again, explicitly recognising us as the pioneering “Pay to Reach” protocol. User growth and community acceptance further emboldened us.

As of today, Xnect is listed on DappBay and continues to grow steadily. We have already developed a comprehensive 2.0 version, which includes enhanced web functionality, a points system, and improved plugin features. Every aspect of our development is progressing methodically.

Our Current Dilemma

However, today, we were taken aback to learn that you have chosen to endorse another yet-to-mature product, whose official Twitter account has just posted its first tweet. This decision has prompted numerous collaboration partners to question whether our existence is even necessary. It has left us grappling with profound self-doubt:

1. Have we been outperformed not because of our product, but due to an inability to reach out to you?

🔸You mentioned that your support for the competing product was prompted by direct outreach from their developers. As a small team, are we inherently doomed to lose opportunities simply because we cannot establish direct contact with you?
🔸Ironically, the very mission of Xnect is to address the issue of “difficulty in outreach,” yet we now find ourselves victims of this very problem.

2. Should There Be Standards of Fair Competition?

🔸From the broader BNB Chain ecosystem’s perspective, perhaps builders like us are not irreplaceable; after all, more newcomers will inevitably emerge. However, builders like us still yearn for fair competition, evaluated comprehensively based on metrics such as product quality, operational effectiveness, and market strategy. With time, we believe we, too, could excel.
🔸If success is determined by the ability to directly connect with you, is this truly the Web3 we aspire to build?

3. Is it still worth persisting?

🔸At this point, it seems we have failed in the “Pay to Reach” arena. Nonetheless, we still hope to understand the reasons for our failure: Is our product inadequate? Were we too slow in execution? Or is our market strategy lacking?
🔸Your feedback will help us decide whether to iterate and improve or to know when to cut our losses.

Our Final Request

CZ, this is not a complaint but an earnest plea:

🔸Please address our uncertainties, even if it’s as plain as saying, “The product isn’t good enough” or “The vision doesn’t align.”
🔸Consider establishing fair competition mechanisms within the BNB Chain ecosystem so that all builders have a chance to shine based on merit.

When you share your next innovative idea, how should we approach it? Should we continue to pour all our effort into building, or should we prioritise "reaching out to you first”?
