HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY TO OUR ESTEEMED MWAN COLLEAGUES
On behalf of Dr. Mohammad Usman Suleiman–led NARD NOC, E-NOC, NEC Members, the Crown Prince of NARD, and the entire NARDITES, we proudly join the rest of the world in celebrating our remarkable female colleagues in the medical profession—women of strength, brilliance, and exceptional value who continue to stand tall, resilient, and vibrant in the noble calling of medicine.
As doctors, wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters, you carry multiple responsibilities with admirable grace—nurturing families, strengthening homes, and at the same time providing compassionate, life-saving care to patients. Your ability to balance these demanding roles while maintaining excellence in your profession is nothing short of inspiring.
You are healers, leaders, mentors, and pillars of strength within our health system. Your empathy comforts patients, your intelligence advances medical practice, and your leadership continues to shape the future of healthcare in Nigeria and beyond.
The 2026 International Women’s Day theme: “Give to Gain” beautifully reflects the spirit of women in medicine. Indeed, women have consistently given their time, energy, compassion, and expertise, and through these sacrifices our profession and our association have gained immensely.
As NARDITES, we are particularly proud to celebrate a historic milestone this year with the emergence of the First Female Vice President I of NARD, Dr. Divine Irole—a distinguished woman whose commitment, resilience, and leadership have contributed immensely to the struggles and progress of NARD. We also celebrate the growing number of female NEC and E-NOC members who continue to distinguish themselves through exemplary leadership, dedication, and service.
Your achievements continue to break barriers, inspire younger doctors, and strengthen the voice of women within organized medicine.
As we celebrate today, we reaffirm our commitment to building a professional environment where every woman is respected, supported, empowered, and given the opportunity to lead, thrive, and excel without limitations.
To our incredible women in medicine:
- Thank you for your strength
- Thank you for your sacrifices
- Thank you for the inspiration you bring to our profession and society
May your efforts continue to bear great fruits, and may you keep rising to even greater heights.
🌸 Happy International Women’s Day to all our phenomenal women in medicine! 👩🏽⚕️💜
With deep admiration and warmest regards,
