Neither the Presidential Records Act nor any other law gives former presidents impunity to willfully retain government records, let alone highly classified ones.
Nice try, Donald Trump. https://t.co/0EG7eYV5hI
Those who are frantically trying to come up with defenses for Trump by claiming the Presidential Records Act allows him to keep whatever the heck he wants, are absolutely wrong.
The very specific reason that the Presidential Records Act was created was because President Richard Nixon sought to destroy records relating to his presidential tenure upon his resignation in 1974.
In 1978, Congress decided that this couldn't happen ever again so it passed the act, declaring that all future presidential records were public property and were to be transferred to NRA following the end of an administration.
National security documents are not deemed to be "personal property" of a President. The government decides what belongs to them, not anyone else. The Presidential Records Act also doesn't give a former president the right to defy government subpoenas, flood servers with pool water to eliminate security footage after the footage was subpoenaed, or share classified documents that he specifically admits are "classified," with people who don't have clearances.
Serious question: The District of Columbia has a strict revenge porn ordinance.
Prosecutors must now consider charging Marjorie Taylor Greene – for showing sexually explicit images of Hunter Biden, during a hearing she knew was being televised.
Should they?
If this isn't a violation of the portion of the law that states it's illegal to make an "unlawful publication of a (private) sexual image," then what is?
Wow!!! AOC just called out Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene for holding up nude photos of Hunter Biden:
“If the gentlelady from Georgia wanted to follow evidence, we should also take a look at, hypothetically... sex trafficking charges against a 17-year-old girl…”
Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump made between $172 million and $640 million in outside income while they worked in the White House.
Anyone want to investigate that? https://t.co/5ECweusyyu
Dear Marjorie Taylor Greene,
Imagine if Democrats somehow got ahold of a photo of Ivanka Trump having sex, and held it in front of the world to see. You know very well, you would be outraged.
If Hunter Biden violated the Mann Act, you can refer it to the DOJ. We don't need you to show the country photos of Hunter Biden having sexual intercourse with women in order to prove your point.
We get it. Hunter Biden was messed up. He was doing stuff that was illegal, and he could have been charged for more than he was charged with. The same goes for a lot of people in this country, all while there are thousands of people in prison for marijuana crimes.
We don't need to see your perverted photos of a private citizen having sex in order to understand what your point is. This is trash, and you know it. You simply don't care.
Now that Smith is all over the false slate of electors sham in multiple states, how can the odious Ginni Thomas - famously solicitous of fake electors in Arizona - remain immune from further DOJ attention?
BREAKING: Experts predict that Nevada will once again decide Senate control, but the Washington Post is calling me one of the most vulnerable senators on the ballot. The only way I can take on the GOP and win is with your help. So please, chip in now!
Judge Cannon has 2 strikes bc she 2x outrageously favored Trump in search warrant litigation—& was reversed
If she whiffs & grants Trump’s unjustified delay, expect recusal litigation in her court & 11th Cir
I explained @Slate w/ @RWPUSA @FredWertheimer

Judge Cannon must afix a muzzle to Trump against inciting violence, or he can sit in a cell; Judge Cannon treated this question with the back of her hand; wrong; also, Trump is sitting on classified docs that can compromise our national defense. https://t.co/lb3nbzYhds
I am privileged to be among a very few to have received an advanced copy of the masterwork BLOWBACK by a true American Patriot @MilesTaylorUSA. This book exquisitely illustrates how dire an intersection we find ourselves at vis a vis retaining our Democracy or losing it.
We're preparing to enforce Trump’s disqualification from office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
But accountability for January 6th needs to go beyond Trump—it should extend to everyone who engaged in and incited the insurrection.

Secretaries of State and other election officials have a duty to keep Donald Trump off the ballot in 2024.
Why?
It says so in the Constitution: Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
Maybe it’s just me, but committing treason, sedition and espionage need to be followed with loss of secret service detail, presidential pensions, tax payer funded motorcade and of course their freedom forevermore.
