The BJP is planning to bring back the 131st Constitution Amendment Bill that failed in the last session of Parliament in April 2026

The failed Bill purported to reserve for women one-third of the seats in the Lok Sabha and the State Assemblies but its real purpose was to pave the way for delimitation and, possibly, gerrymandering of constituencies

The Constitution of India was already amended by the Constitution 106th Amendment Act to provide reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and the State Assemblies. Hence there was -- and there is -- no need for a new Bill to provide reservation for women

After splitting the TMC, the BJP is reportedly wooing the NCP(SP) and the DMK to garner the crucial votes to support the new version of the failed Bill

NCP(SP) and DMK have been clear-headed about the real purpose of the failed Bill and it is expected that they will stand firm in the future too

Any support to a new version of the failed Bill -- whose real purpose is delimitation -- will be a betrayal of their own conscience that guided them in April 2026

Delimitation of constituencies under the present formula will cause grave injustice to the rights of States that had faithfully followed the National Population Policy and contained the growth of the State's population

States' rights must be fiercely guarded against the rampaging BJP

ಇಂದು ಲೋಕಭವನಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಅನುಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯ��ಂತ್ರಿ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಬೆಳೆದ ನಾನು ಮುಂದೊಂದು ದಿನ ಈ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಶಾಸಕ, ಮಂತ್ರಿ, ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕ, ಎರಡೆರಡು ಬಾರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂಬ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂತದ್ದೊಂದು ದುಬಾರಿಯಾದ ಕನಸು ನನಸಾಗಿರುವುದು ಬಾಬಾ ಸಾಹೇಬ್ ಅಂಬ��ಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದಿಂದ.

ಬುದ್ಧ, ಬಸವ, ಬಾಬಾ ಸಾಹೇಬರು, ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರೇ ನನ್ನ ಆದರ್ಶ. ನನ್ನ ನಲವತ್ತೆಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಡಿನ ಅವಕಾಶ ವಂಚಿತ, ಶೋಷಿತ, ಬಡ ಜನರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದ ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿದೆ.

ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಾಸಕಾಂಗ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಆರಿಸಿ, ಈ ವರೆಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜನಸೇವೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲಿಗೆ ಹೆಗಲಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿದ ಪಕ್ಷದ ವರಿಷ್ಠರಾದ ಸೋನಿಯ��� ಗಾಂಧಿ, ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ, ಎಐಸಿಸಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಬದುಕಿನುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ತುಂಬಿದ, ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಸಿದ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಹೃದಯವಂತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಚಿರಋಣಿ.

ಸಂವಿಧಾನವೇ ನನಗೆ ಧರ್ಮ, ಜನರೇ ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿನ ದೇವರು. ನನ್ನ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಸೀಮಿತ, ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಲ್ಲ.

ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದ ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರು ಇರುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಕೋಮುವಾದಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ஆறு மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பே மே 4 ஆம் தேதி வந்த தேர்தல் முடிவுகளை சில ஜோசியக்கார்ர்களை செட் பண்ணி முன்கூட்டியே பேச வைத்தது ..
உதயநிதி வெற்��ி பெற்று விடுவார் ஆனால்
முதல்வர் தோற்றுவிடுவார் என்பது உள்பட..

தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஒரே ஒரு பாஜகவை வெற்றி பெற வைத்ததுகூட
மேற்கு வங்கத்தில் ம்ம்தாவை தோற்கடிக்கப்பட்டதை

பாருங்கள் நாங்கள் EVM ஐ பயன்படுத்துவதாக இருந்தால் தமிழ்நாட்டில் பாஜக வெற்றி பெற்றிருக்கும் ஆனால் பாருங்கள் ஒரே ஒரு இடத்தில் மட்டுமே வெற்றி பெற்றிருக்கிறோம் என்கிற சமாளிfication க்காகத்தான்..

அண்ணாமலையை தேர��தலில் நிற்க வைக்காததும்
காரணத்தோடுதான்..

சி வி சண்முகம் தலைமையில் அதிமுகவை மீண்டும் உடைத்து அதிமுகவை முழுமையாக துடைத்தெறிவதில் பாஜகவின் திட்டம் கிட்டத்தட்ட வெற்றிபெற்றுவிட்டது..

மேற்கு வங்கத்தில் மம்தா தோற்க வைக்கப்பட்டார்.
இனி அவ்வளவு எளிதாக மம்தா அவர்கள் எழவே முடியாத அரசியலை ஆர்எஸ்எஸ் செய்யும்.

கேரளாவிலும் கம்யூனிஸ்ட் தோற்கடிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

தமிழ்நாட்டிலும் த���முகவை தோற்கவைக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

இந்த ஐந்து வருடங்களில் திரு. விஜய்தான் முதல்வர்.
ஆர்எஸ்எஸ் தவிர வேறு எவராலும் ஆட்சியை கவிழ்க்க முடியாது.

பேராசிரியர் திரு V. ஜெயதேவன் அவர்கள் இன்று காலமானார் என்ற செய்தி அறிந்து பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியும் துயரமும் அடைந்தேன்.

அவர் சிறந்த தமிழ்ப் பேராசிரியர். தமிழ் வளர்ச்சிக் கழகத்தில் ��ுத்துணர்ச்சியை ஊட்டியவர். தமிழ் வளர்ச்சிக் கழகத்தைச் சீரமைத்து மீண்டும் செயல்படுத்துவதற்குப் பெருந் துணையாக இருந்தவர்.

Today, when the Leader of Opposition Shri @RahulGandhi was speaking in Parliament, the Modi government did not allow him to speak at that time.

Not only this, the Chairman, in the middle of the Leader of Opposition speaking, called out the names of other members of Parliament and asked them to speak.

No MP from the INDIA alliance supported this undemocratic behaviour, and even after their names were called, they refused to speak.

Finally, the name of a ruling party MP was called and he started speaking.

This is outright dictatorship, a conspiracy to suppress the voice of the opposition. Narendra Modi and his government are engaged in destroying democracy.

What happened today has never happened before in the history of Parliament. This is shameful.
