Chris Dring reports new AAA single player games do 75-80% of sales on #PlayStation vs #Xbox
This is averaged across every data supplier he has access to incl GSD (who Xbox supply data to) & Ampere
That's 2-10% greater than est PS5/Series lifetime sales split (Series est differ)
Take this for what it's worth. But this picture basically sums up what most of us are thinking about sales, anyway. Most of us have thought Xbox was in fourth place behind Switch 1 when it comes to monthly sales. π
@Pixeldink@JamieMoranUK Xbots can't handle the truth. I was blocked by a couple of Xbox fanboys last week for stating actual, verifiable information that is a proven fact. π€£
Ah yes, a manager said he heard from corporate, the gold standard of verified data. Nothing says accurate stats like one guy at GameStop repeating something he heard from someone else. π
To bad IGN is saying the complete opposite. And let's totally ignore the PlayStation having 3x the user base of Xbox Series S and X combined.
Aka....Goat Gaming, the Goat of Cope! π€£
Besides IGN saying that the PS5 version of GTA 6 is out-selling the Xbox version by a massive margin, we now have this.
The top 100 best-selling list on Amazon has GTA 6 for PS5 at number 4, while the PS5 Pro console is at number 24, with no Xbox version of GTA 6 in the top 100, nor any Xbox console anywhere in the top 100.
Boomstick is coping as he lists features the Xbox version will have without mentioning that the PS5 version has the same features, or in some cases, better implementations of the same features. Aka..Quick Resume has nothing to do with GTA 6 and does not affect the game in any way, unlike PS5's ultra-fast SSD, which does affect gameplay by shortening load times to near-zero. Also, the PS5 version not only has Dolby Atmos support but also Tempest audio support, bringing a full "3D" high-resolution 24-bit studio-quality experience to headphones.
PS5 remains the best place to play GTA 6.
1. Quick resume has nothing to do with GTA 6. It's not an in-game loading solution and doesn't help stream game assets any faster, unlike what the PlayStation is doing with its ultra-fast SSD, which will provide virtually instantaneous load times and load game assets far faster than the Xbox version. So the PS5 solution directly impacts the overall gaming experience the end user will have.
2. Dobly Vision is also covering the higher HDR range provided in the picture. They are not two separate features. Additionally, Dobly Vision has been a disappointment on Xbox Series S and X, as it's not fully fleshed out. Many gamers consider standard HDR to be often better than the Xbox implementation of Dolby Vision HDR. Plus, not all TV's are even compatible with Dolby Vision. Aka..Samsung TV's. (And the best-selling brand of TVs in the United States, by the way.) Plus, some gamers find that Dolby Vision increases input lag on Xbox and makes games appear too dark.
The PS5 also supports HDR, by the way, which is compatible with all TVs, including Samsung TVs.
3. Dolby Atmos is cool if you have a high-end audio surround sound setup. But the vast, vast majority of people don't. That's why PlayStation's Tempest Audio is a better solution and, technically, a more advanced 3D audio technology. (By the way, PS5 also suports Dobly Atmos in some games.)
It offers a fully immersive 3D audio surround sound experience with affordable over-the-ear headphones that also eliminate environmental sounds you don't want to hear, and it's plug-and-playβno need to invest in a several-hundred-dollar AV receiver, speakers, HDMI cables, etc. Much more affordable than the Xbox solution and arguably can give a better experience anyway. Far more games support it than Dolby Atmos on Xbox. Dolby Atmos remains only an optional feature for developers on Xbox.
4. VRR = PS5 has it too.
5. True RDNA 2 doesn't mean squat to the end user. Especially when the competition, like the PS5 and PS5 Pro, has been confirmed to not only have RDNA 2 but also better custom solutions integrated with RDNA 2. Again, the average person won't care about what this is.
TLDR: Boom be Coping. π
The lies. Xbots have no morality. These people are scum. They will willingly tell innocent people to buy a product that, to most people, is objectively not a great console (for most), then tell them the truth to see if that product may fit what they're looking for.
In this case, they are claiming that Xbox has all the PlayStation games and even greater access to them than the PS5 itself. The reality is that PS5 has greater developer support for more games, and it has access to the majority of 1st-party Xbox games that have been published in the last 2 years.
I think the PS5 version is easily outselling the Xbox version 8-to-1 in pre-sale figures. But I have a feeling Jez is going to come out and say everyone was wrong when the sales figures show it's actually closer to 3-to-1, even though it's obvious pre-sale figures represent a rush-buy event that lasts no more than a week or so.
The PS5 outsold the Xbox 3-to-1, obviously. In the long term, the PS5 will still dominate sales figures, but not at an 8-to-1 ratio. Probably 3-to-1 or 4-to-1 long term.
He's acting like we don't know that sales figures won't say 8-1. Like, Duh! π Although who knows at this point with the Xbox console being dead.
Maybe it will be 8-1 LOL! 8-1 for presales and 3-1, maybe 4-1, for sales figures, my guess. I mean, PS5 represented 80% of Cod sales after all. But im just spit balling here. π
Where are the xbots and xbox executives that said sales for xbos has increased due to forza horizon 6 being a timed exclusive and ashas changes .
I smell bullshit like always from the xbox cult camp
I don't expect a PlayStation 5 price increase anytime soon. The chance that Sony raises PS5 prices again in the near future is extremely low because they already implemented a massive global price hike just two months ago, and all available reporting shows that this increase was intended to cover long term component inflation, not a temporary spike.
However, keep in mind I said an "extremely low" chance of a price increase. There is always a non zero chance that it could happen if market conditions change rapidly or unexpectedly.
A word on the XBOX price increase - blame those stupid little SSDs they insisted on using...just like Steam Machine did...
Multiple sources have confirmed this. Those SSDs have had massive price increases, and GDDR6 has NOT seen the same increases GDDR7 & LPDDR5X have seen.π€¦
If you had all those consoles, youβd be playing them instead of writing paragraphs about my "quote" meat slurping. It sounds like you're projecting your real life onto me. Either way, I guarantee nobody has as much experience as you when it comes to meat riding and slurping. π π€£
