Reclaiming the Future – our founding essay is out.
For progressives, this is an existential moment. To defy the twin foes of populism and fatalism, they must put ideas back at the centre of their politics and draw on the greatest thinkers from their past, such as Keynes, Crosland and Rawls, to shape the future.
We argue for ideas including embracing Europe for growth and security, adopting Danish-style “flexicurity” to make our labour market fit for the age of AI, abolishing the current triple lock, creating a new Department of the PM and allowing London and other wealthy areas to fund their own infrastructure projects.

It was Trump who really wrecked Starmer’s premiership, writes @b_judah.
Andy Burnham must adapt to the end of the Special Relationship to avoid the same fate. https://t.co/RuCnloAWMO
We’ve heard a lot about what Keir Starmer got wrong. What we’ve heard less often is that he simply got unlucky. I am firmly of the belief that Donald Trump’s election as US president 19 months ago played a major role in derailing his premiership.
My reflections on @ArguablyMag on the price of Trump and how Starmer failed to pivot once it became clear what Trump 2.0 was going to be like. https://t.co/BlY13Z7qhp
