Hymn of All Saints’ Day, Placare Christe Servulis. “I saw a great multitude which no man could number, of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne, and in sight of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands: and they cried
with a loud voice, saying: Salvation to our God!” #allsaintsday
This is Gregory Baum. A Jewish Catholic priest, he was the key writer of the early drafts of Nostra Aetate. He “converted” to Catholicism after fleeing the Nazis.
After Nostra Aetate was published, Baum left the priesthood. His mission was accomplished.
@SwamTheTiber @IceDog07 You either understand that the Truth is external, given by God to His Church, or something man has come up with — you cannot make things up, as this makes you a Protestant. If you can understand this, God will hold you accountable for the decision now.
@SwamTheTiber @IceDog07 This is from WM Review. But do you see how there has been a drastic change in how reality is understood? You feel that dogmas of the church are there because man discerned them — this is VII. The dogmas are there because God revealed them. The Novus Ordo is a heresy.
Modernist error, on the other hand, affirms: “The dogmas which the Church teaches as revealed are not truths which come from heaven, but are an interpretation of religious facts, which the human mind has acquired by laborious efforts.” This proposition has been condemned (Denz. 2022); and the contrary is, therefore, true: The dogmas which the Church teaches as revealed are truths which have come from heaven, and are not an interpretation of religious facts which the human mind has acquired by laborious efforts.
