@ZekeFreek I think it's more than pride. As the strongest warrior she's lonely as hell and only really knows to form bonds in battle. I think in a weird way she cares about them on a personal level. This is also shown in the ending where she bonds with takumi by fighting him for a week.

@TGirlie101 Okay so having a character perma die doesn't really make sense with the branching structure of the game, especially affecting other DLC. Like what if I don't even have the DLC where they die? That being said I do agree that deaths lack impact, it's just not the game for that.
