@GetMarkedU My first step is looking back at the year gone by and evaluating what worked, what didn't, what we want to pull into the year to come and what we want to change up. #GetMarkedUChat#GAIN2021
@GetMarkedU One takeaway for me is while there are many similarities between marketing practices in B2G and B2B, the differences are major. Knowing the laws/rules about how and when to interact, and the types of offers and 'giveaways' allowed are much more structured and regulated with B2G.
@GetMarkedU Well, it landed me a great new opportunity! :)
One key is that it's better to demonstrate what your value is, as opposed to telling. Show up authentically; do what you do best; be true to yourself and others will pick up what you're putting down. #GetMarkedUChat
@GetMarkedU Know your client! The better the client can 'see' themselves in your messaging and understand that you understand their needs, issues and pain points, the more the messaging will resonate with the targeted audience. #GetMarkedUChat
@ccromley@GetMarkedU Agreed. There are so many different types of 'firewalls' and stoppers to connect with individuals. In person opportunities really are the best for a number of reasons. I hope they come back soon! #GetMarkedUChat
@GetMarkedU Having known, knowledgeable and trusted SMEs who know the ins and outs of an agency and specific programs is extremely valuable for access as well as credibility. I don't know what that equivalent would be in commercial #GetMarkedUChat.
@GetMarkedU Many times, bids are written with certain companies in mind. That's why it's critical to be known by the decision makers well in advance. When a bid comes out sometimes it feels like it's already too late if the advanced marketing work hasn't been done! #GetMarkedUChat
