Even in 2022, I kinda felt sad for Ronaldo when he got knocked out.
This time though, the happiness is through the roof.
The amount of hatred, jealousy and narcissism he has for Messi, the instagram comments, interviews, everything.
He completely deserves this brutal ending.
Ronaldo screaming “I’m back” after two goals against Uzbekistan and then scoring one charity penalty before being knocked out of the Round of 16 again is my highlight of the World Cup unless he gets arrested later.
Triste
Gotta give him credit. From day 1 he's been the most unlikeable, arrogant, delusional, egotistical twat on planet Earth and he kept it that way until his very last footballing breath.
Farewell, you piece of shit.
Oh we're doing the "European teams are better" thing again, but you got knocked out in the group stages of 2014 behind USA, lost to Uruguay in 2018, Morocco in 2022, and got the bad side of the draw in 2026 because you couldn't beat Congo or Colombia. Funny how that works
This guy posts laughing emojis under posts criticising Messi but here he is hurt over a journalist who criticises him. Never seen a bigger hypocrite in world football.
I haven't seen one bad or disrespectful incident between any argentine and cape verde player, and yet twitter is going crazy with accusations and hate trains. the agenda being pushed is honestly insane
So let me guess, the World Cup is rigged for Argentina because: Portugal didn't win their group, Uruguay couldn't qualify from theirs and Brazil got knocked out by Norway? Just want to make sure I have it right
Not a single Cape Verde player came out complaining about VAR or refs like Luka Modric did after playing Portugal, but the entire timeline is just crying about Argentina
🚨 | 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Reports are circulating that Cristiano Ronaldo’s PR team has been privately messaging major sports media pages, offering paid promotions to push negative narratives against Argentina and Lionel Messi.
🚨💣 BREAKING: This is INSANE.
A PR agency reportedly reached out to several major football accounts and influencers on X, offering paid campaigns to push anti-Argentina narratives during the World Cup. 🇦🇷
One large Football X account claims they were approached and asked to post content portraying Argentina’s run as “rigged.”
It could explain why so many unrelated accounts suddenly started flooding the timeline with the exact same “rigged” narrative. 👀
Have seen 3 Argentina related “rigged” incidents hit 2-3M+ impressions, 100k+ likes, and literally all of them are lies. Never seen anything like it.
1) Paredes’ foul at the end of the game — clear dive with video proof. Referee was spot on.
2) Messi’s free kick — the referee had blown the whistle, again with clear video proof.
3) Tagliafico not needing to wait for 1 minute before re-entering — the rules clearly state if a player leaves the field of play to stop bleeding or change a blood-stained shirt, they can come back on immediately.
3 super minor actions that weren’t game defining whatsoever getting this much level of scrutiny is already crazy. But to make matters worse, ALL of them are lies. Said I couldn’t even fathom the online reaction if the Portugal game had happened to Argentina and this is why.
The idiocy and hatred these anti-Messi fans have is downright insanity.
The way people watched Portugal - Croatia and then Argentina - Cape Verde the next day with their own eyes and they talk more about the ref in the Argentina game is genuinely SCARY. We are seeing a campaign we never seen in history of football.
