Bees are responsible for pollinating about one in three bites of the food we eat. They’re far more important to humans than any AI tool or data center. Please protect the bees.
Trump ordered that the picture of Emmett Till in his casket be taken OUT of the Emmett Till exhibit in the African American museum In Washington D.C. How the fuck do you remove the key person from his own exhibit???
One of my favorite things about The Odyssey was Nolan's decision to use Odysseus slowly regaining his memory on Calypso's island to drive the nolinear story structure. That was a smart way of doing it.
The scary thing here is that IMAX can't build any more new projectors. (They apparently don't have a complete set of the engineering blueprints, most of the engineers who designed them have retired or passed away, and the parts supply chains have long since dried up.) So the goal for the foreseeable future is to upgrade and keep all the existing projectors running for as long as they can.
Tom Holland reveals he watched Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway stay in character for entire afternoons during a highly emotional 9-minute scene filmed with 3-minute camera limits
"I remember a scene between Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway. It's about a 9-minute scene, and the camera can only run for 3 minutes at a time because it runs out of film. They would run it, take it out the blimp, reload it, put it back in, and then the two actors would just carry on from where they left off."
"This is the most emotional scene in the movie. It's so fantastic. To see both of them stay in character, stay in that emotion, never waver, and never come out of it. They would call cut, they would reload the camera, and Matt and Anne just stayed there in the moment for 3 minutes before the camera would roll again."
"It was just a masterclass in patience, professionalism, and confidence in themselves. It was awesome."
the pig scene is a historic moment in cinema and i don't think anyone will ever do something like that again in our lifetime without relying on cgi or ai
