The ultimate app for animated live wallpapers on macOS.
But here's the thing: 2 years ago I did not know any of this
I was a Mac dev building my app in Swift and realised that Paddle had retired their license product (Paddle Classic). I needed an alternative that was tailored for my needs, but there was none
The lesson: The value of being a general product engineer
It turns out that if you break out from your self-imposed limitations of being an "iOS engineer", "frontend developer" or "designer", and just view yourself as a generalist that can tackle anything
...you can just build things.
If anything it just gets easier the more you broaden your expertise. You become so much more empowered doing this VS becoming some hardcore expert on a single thing
Are you building an app? I’m an indie dev with 11 years experience building apps for Apple platforms (primarily macOS).
I’ll share any advice I can give you for free in this thread. No courses, no books, no baits. Just free mentoring.
Drop your app and AMA.

How it started VS How it's going 👇
Purchasing Twitter and then immediately, during an ongoing election, start posting tweets to “recommend voters” on what to vote on is just disgusting behavior. With great power comes great responsibility etc
Life update alert!
🍬 This week I started as a Sr. Product Manager at @King_Games, working on the game engine that powers @CandyCrushSaga and a dozen other games. Really surreal working on a product installed on literally billions of devices 👀

Designers are made, not born 🧑💻
Everyone struggles. Don’t throw in the towel because you think you lack the knowledge or talent. Take @oskargroth, for example. He started his career as a programmer. But to create his app, Sensei, he needed to learn how to design. And he did!
